Tsutomu Mito is a core member of the Leadership & Succession Practice. He specializes in advising clients on key measures in talent development, leadership succession planning and team performance measurement. Tsutomu is based in Tokyo.
Tsutomu joined Russell Reynolds Associates from Fidelity International, where he was the Senior HR Business Partner for the Japan Business. In this role, he was responsible for overseeing talent management, acquisition and reviews, as well as succession planning and leadership coaching. Previously, Tsutomu was HR Business Partner for Sales and Marketing at MetLife in Japan, where he facilitated change management during the dissolution of a subsidiary. Earlier, Tsutomu worked for BlackRock, where he led post-merger integration, talent management and organization development as VP and Talent Manager. He began his career as a medical representative and talent management specialist at MSD (formerly Banyu Pharmaceutical).
Tsutomu holds a BA in social sciences from Waseda University in Japan.
