Clarke Murphy

Clarke Murphy is the Chief Executive Officer of Russell Reynolds Associates and serves on the Board of Directors. Prior to his appointment as CEO, he was the Global Leader of the firm's CEO/Board Services Practice.

While at Russell Reynolds Associates, Clarke has conducted a number of significant projects in the industry, including Board of Director searches for UnitedHealth Group and MSCI. He has also conducted CEO assignments for MasterCard, Genworth, ARAMARK, and Duke Energy, among others. In addition, he has led notable searches in the private equity industry including searches for the Carlyle Group and Warburg Pincus.

Clarke has over 25 years of experience in the executive recruiting industry and joined Russell Reynolds Associates in 1988. Now based in New York, he also spent time in the firm's Frankfurt office and later in London, where he served as Deputy Country Manager. He has also acted as Head of the Americas. Prior to joining Russell Reynolds Associates, Clarke was a commercial banking officer at Manufacturers Hanover Trust Company (now part of JPMorgan Chase) in New York.

Clarke received his B.A. in History from the University of Virginia.

Pascal Bécotte

Country Manager, Canada
Global Sector Leader, Functional Practices 

Dr. Pascal Bécotte leads the firm’s Canadian operations and co-leads the firm’s Global Functions group, which includes the Finance, Human Resources, Operations & Supply Chain, Legal, Regulatory & Compliance and Corporate Affairs Practices. Pascal is also a member of the firm’s global Executive Committee, as well as a member of the Healthcare Sector where he advises clients across the globe on their overall talent strategy, particularly with respect to leadership assessment, succession planning and the recruitment of directors, CEOs and other senior executives. More specifically Pascal specializes in Biotech and Pharma Technical Operations including Process Development, Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering and Supply Chain leadership across modalities. He splits his time between the Toronto and New York offices.

Pascal has more than 25 years of executive search experience, most recently with another leading global firm, where he was Managing Partner for the Montreal office. Pascal received his Bachelor of Engineering Physics degree from the Royal Military College of Canada and was trained as an aerospace engineer with the Royal Canadian Air Force. He also earned his Master's and Doctorate degrees in business administration from Athabasca University in Canada, where he focused his research and dissertation on CEO succession. Pascal speaks fluent French and English.

Ramón Gómez de Olea

Country Manager, Spain

Ramón Gómez de Olea is the firm's Country Manager for Spain, which includes the Madrid and Barcelona offices. He is also a senior member of the Board and CEO Advisory Partners and Leadership and Succession practices. Ramón specializes in domestic and international senior executive searches with a particular focus on the technology, industrial and energy sectors. He is responsible regionally for developing and executing major assessments in private equity acquisitions, PMI processes in large mergers and CEO succession plans for global corporations. Ramón also specializes in board searches, succession planning and board evaluation work, and has mainly conducted assessment projects in the financial services, industrial and telecommunications sectors across Europe, the US and Latin America.

Prior to joining Russell Reynolds Associates close to 20 years ago, Ramón was a project leader at the Boston Consulting Group in Madrid. Previously, he was with Elecnor SA, the Spanish Electrical Engineering Contractor, first as Caribbean Assistant Area Manager and later as French-Africa Area Manager. Ramón also served as an officer in the Spanish Navy.

Ramón received his MS in mechanical engineering from ICAI Engineering School, his MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and his MA from the Lauder Institute of International Studies and the School of Arts and Sciences at the University of Pennsylvania. He speaks fluent Spanish, English and French.

Rhys Grossman

Global Sector Leader, Consumer

Rhys Grossman co-leads the firm’s Consumer Sector and Consumer Digital and Media Practice. He is also a member of the Board & CEO Advisory Partners. Leveraging a background in media and technology, Rhys advises FTSE organizations on talent and innovation, with a particular emphasis on recruiting and assessing high-impact digital leaders. He also works closely with private equity and venture capital firms to recruit senior leaders for their portfolio companies. Rhys is based in London.

Prior to joining Russell Reynolds Associates, Rhys worked for Inflexion Private Equity as an executive across portfolio investments in media and technology. Earlier, he worked for ITV in a variety of roles spanning strategy, programming, marketing and digital services. Rhys began his career at OC&C Strategy Consultants and PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Rhys received his BA in philosophy, politics and economics from Keble College, Oxford University. He is the Chair of the Prince’s Trust Internet and Media Leadership Group.

Simon Kingston

Global Sector Co-Leader, Social Impact and Education

Simon joined Russell Reynolds Associates in 2007. Prior to this, he worked for some years at two other search firms. Before that, he was an academic.

Simon received his BA in history from Trinity College Dublin and his DPhil in history from the University of Oxford. He completed an executive education program in Leading Professional Service Firms at Harvard Business School. He was subsequently a post-doctoral scholar at the University of Oxford and a tutor and retained lecturer at a number of its colleges. Simon sits on the Advisory Committee of the British Irish Association and has published on Irish and British politics and history. Simon is also co-founder of the West Cork History Festival and the Killarney Economic Conference.

Dana Krueger

Global Sector Leader, Healthcare

Dana Krueger, PhD, is responsible for the Global Healthcare business at Russell Reynolds Associates. She personally advises healthcare clients on their most challenging leadership issues at the executive and non-executive levels. Additionally, driven by her passion for science and helping companies advance their innovation agenda, she engages boards across a range of industries on senior R&D leadership issues. Dana also serves on the firm’s Executive Committee and is based in Amsterdam and New York.

Prior to joining Russell Reynolds, Dana served as a Global Account Manager and key member of the European Life Sciences practice at the Monitor Group (now part of Deloitte). Earlier in her career, she was a Post Doctoral Fellow at Harvard University and a Fulbright Fellow at the University of Sydney.

Dana is a member of the Healthcare Businesswomen's Association (HBA) and AWIS (American Women in STEM) and also participates in the Ivy Circle and the Harvard Club of the Netherlands. Dana received her BA in biology, summa cum laude, from Lawrence University and her AM and PhD in biology from Harvard University.

Margot McShane

Margot McShane is a leader in the firm’s Global Digital Transformation and Retail Practices, as well as the Consumer Sector. She is also a core member of the Board & CEO Advisory Partners, and was previously responsible for co-leading the firm’s Global Consumer Digital and Media Practice. Margot specializes in advising clients on CEO and Board succession planning and search engagements, as well as digital commerce and marketing searches. She has expertise in advising high growth consumer technology companies, as well as retailers and consumer-facing businesses where digital transformation, technology enablement, rapidly evolving strategies and identifying transformational leadership solutions are key themes. Margot is also a member of the Diversity & Inclusion, Marketing Officers and Consumer Products Practices. Her clients range from global Fortune 500 to private equity and venture capital backed companies. Margot is based in San Francisco.

Prior to joining Russell Reynolds Associates, Margot was a director in global brand management for Gap, Inc. Before that, she held Director of Marketing positions at Odwalla, a fresh juice company acquired by The Coca-Cola Company, and at Wetfeet. Earlier, Margot spent several years working for advertising agencies, where she primarily served packaged goods clients, including Procter & Gamble and The Clorox Company.

Margot received her AB in political science and history from Brown University.

Justus O’Brien

Justus O’Brien is co-leader of the firm's Board & CEO Advisory Partners and serves as a leader in the New York office. He advises corporate boards and CEOs in corporate governance, CEO succession planning, board succession planning and refreshment, board and committee evaluations, activism, digital transformation, diversity and governance benchmarking. Justus is a trusted advisor to FTSE and Fortune 100 companies across all major industry sectors. Justus is highly involved with professional affiliations and serves on many boards. He is on the Board of Advisors for Oxford Rothermere American Institute as well as the Aspen Institute Business & Society Program. He is also a Director of Arundel Capital and a member of the Council for Foreign Relations.

Justus has decades of executive search experience advising global companies in the consumer, healthcare, industrial and energy, financial services and technology sectors. Prior to joining the firm, Justus held various senior leadership roles over the course of his search career. He has extensive overseas experience having lived and worked in Brazil, Spain, Venezuela and the U.K. and brings an in-depth global perspective on business solutions.

Sachin Rajan

Country Manager, India

Sachin Rajan is a member of the firm’s Healthcare and Consumer Sectors. He advises local and multinational corporations at the board, CEO and CXO levels and coordinates the Healthcare Practice across the Asia Pacific region. He also serves as the firm’s Country Manager in India.

Sachin joined us from a leading global search firm where he served as the Office Manager for their offices in India. He also co-led the firm's global generics initiative within the Healthcare Sector. While healthcare was his primary focus, he was also active in the Consumer Sector. Before that, Sachin launched and led the oncology business for Bristol-Myers Squibb in India, having earlier led the information technologies vertical business for GE Medical Systems in South Asia, where he also served as country manager within the Wipro-GE joint venture. He began his career with the Ranbaxy Group in India and played a lead role in establishing the SRL Ranbaxy joint venture, South Asia's first and, to-date, largest clinical laboratory network.

Sachin has a Bachelor degree in Microbiology and Biochemistry from St Xavier's College, Mumbai, and an M.B.A. from the Jamnalal Bajaj Institute, a leading Indian business school.

Mary-Caroline (MC) Tillman

Mary-Caroline Tillman co-leads Russell Reynolds Associates Global Financial Services Sector, based in New York. She has more than a decade of experience advising financial services clients across the globe. Her clients include some of the world’s largest financial institutions and she is regarded as a trusted advisor by many chairpeople, CEOs and senior leaders. She has worked on CEO search and succession projects across regions – including Australia, Asia, UK, Europe and the U.S. – giving her a unique perspective and ability to calibrate talent around the world. She has a depth of experience, not only in search, but also in Board/CEO Succession, C-Suite assessments, team buildouts and talent development. She helps clients align their strategic agendas with the right leadership talent and organizational structure.

Mary-Caroline formerly led the global Financial Services and Investment Banking Practices at a leading executive search firm. Earlier in her career, she spent 13 years at JP Morgan where she was a Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer of the European Investment Banking Division. She was a member of the EMEA Investment Banking Committee and a key force in developing JP Morgan’s franchise in Europe. Before joining the management team, Mary-Caroline worked in Mergers and Acquisitions covering the Consumer Products industry in Toronto, New York and London.

Mary-Caroline has a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Alberta in Canada and an M.B.A. from the Richard Ivey School of Business, University of Western Ontario.

Anthony Abbatiello leads the firm’s global Leadership & Succession business. He brings more than 20 years of leadership management consulting to advise clients in all industries, working as a trusted advisor to drive organizational optimization and build high-performance executive teams. Anthony partners with C-suite and senior management to tailor leadership assessments and solutions to meet changing client needs, guiding organizations through times of transition and digital transformation. He is based in New York.

Anthony joined Russell Reynolds Associates from Deloitte, where he was a senior Partner responsible for the Digital Human Capital business, as well as the Global Lead of Deloitte Leadership. Anthony was responsible for the market entry, growth strategy and business operations for Deloitte’s Leadership business. He also launched the firm’s Culture business with an award-winning product and led their premier global trends research program. Anthony began his career at Accenture, where he spent close to 18 years helping global clients increase the effectiveness of human resources by creating innovative strategies and global operating models. He ended his tenure as a Global Managing Director and global leader of the HR consulting business. In addition, Anthony is an Adjunct Professor at New York University, where he teaches graduate courses in organizational assessment and analysis.

Anthony holds a BBA in international business from Villanova University.

Constantine Alexandrakis

Constantine Alexandrakis leads the firm’s Americas business, including Canada and Latin America, and is a core member of the Board and CEO Advisory Group. He advises corporate boards and CEOs in corporate governance, board effectiveness, board succession planning and refreshment, CEO succession planning and leadership transformation. Based in Chicago, Constantine works closely with both public and private companies across a wide range of industries.

Prior to joining Russell Reynolds Associates, Constantine served as Vice President of Operations for Hostway Corporation, a web solutions provider. He was also a strategy consultant for Towers Perrin and earlier in his career, Constantine worked as a financial analyst with United Airlines. Constantine serves as a board member for Junior Achievement of Chicago and the Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital Foundation. He is also a member of the Board of the East Bank Club and The Executives' Club of Chicago. He is also a member of the Florida Bar.

Constantine received his A.B. in Economics from Princeton University and graduated with honors, cum laude. He earned his M.B.A. from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business and his J.D. from the University of Miami School of Law.

Eric Allen

General Counsel

Eric Allen is the General Counsel and Secretary of Russell Reynolds Associates. He is responsible for all legal matters, including issues relating to corporate governance, risk management, ethics, data privacy, intellectual property and group structure. He advises the firm on employment laws and practices around the world.

Prior to joining Russell Reynolds Associates, Eric was the Chief Legal Officer to international private equity firm Hicks Muse Tate & Furst. Prior to Hicks Muse, Eric was the Associate General Counsel of Syntroleum Corporation, where he negotiated and drafted major business agreements for this publicly traded alternative energy company. He previously was an attorney at ConocoPhillips and Baker Botts.

Eric received his A.B. in History from Stanford University and his J.D. from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law where he was Managing Editor of the law review.


Kathleen Fitzpatrick

Chief Information Officer
New York

Kathleen Fitzpatrick is the Chief Information Officer of Russell Reynolds Associates. Based in New York, Kathleen is responsible for driving the firm’s overall technology strategy and providing leadership and support for the firm’s major IS initiatives.

Prior to joining Russell Reynolds Associates, Kathleen was the Head of Global Development and Shared Services at Citigroup, where she was responsible for global IT solutions development for Citi Private Bank. Prior to Citigroup, she was the Head of Front Office Technology at UBS Wealth Management, where she oversaw front-office technology including a leading broker platform, client online services, identity and security management, wealth management toolsets, managed accounts and enterprise datawarehouse. Prior to that she held technology roles of increasing seniority at PaineWebber.

Kathleen earned her Bachelor of Sciences degree in Mathematics and Computer Sciences from Binghamton University


Nils Hopmann

Global Sector Coordinator

Nils Hopmann co-leads the firm’s Healthcare Sector. He devises global strategies for healthcare clients across pharma, medtec and health services as well as for private equity clients around the world. Nils leverages his deep understanding of global markets and trends and his extensive experience across all regions to develop customized solutions and provide targeted firm resources to international businesses with complex challenges (succession planning, board evaluation and M&A, for instance). Nils has worked in several countries throughout his career, including China and Germany. He is currently based in New York.

Prior to joining Russell Reynolds Associates, Nils was a member of the management team at GE Healthcare International, where he was a regional general manager in Europe. He was also involved in acquisitions and the integration processes that followed. Before that, he served as managing director for GE's former IT Solutions Europe business and held several leadership roles in sales, services and internal consulting, gaining Six Sigma experience along the way.

Nils received his Diplomkaufmann, equivalent to an M.B.A., from the University of Passau. He is fluent in English.

Matthias Oberholzer

Co-Regional Coordinator, EMEA

Dr. Matthias Oberholzer is the firm's co-Regional Coordinator for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, the Country Manager for Switzerland and the Co-Head of Insurance. He focuses on assignments for insurance, banking and private equity clients. Based in Zürich, he serves both national and international clients with assignments in general management as well as senior functional positions.

Prior to joining Russell Reynolds Associates, Matthias was with McKinsey & Company for eight years, serving insurance, banking and sports clients in Germany and Switzerland as well as throughout Africa, Europe and North America. Matthias worked in leadership roles in the European and Swiss insurance practices and led knowledge development in the areas of claims management, underwriting, bancassurance, innovation and the Swiss insurance market. He presented at senior-executive industry conferences and taught advanced insurance training programs. Before joining McKinsey, Matthias founded and sold several companies as an independent entrepreneur.

Matthias received his B.A. in business administration and his M.B.A. in insurance economics from the University of St. Gallen. He received his M.S. in e-commerce from Carnegie Mellon University and his Ph.D. in insurance economics from the University of Basel.

Peter L. O’Brien

Regional Coordinator, Asia Pacific

Peter O'Brien is a trusted advisor to Boards and CEOs on corporate governance, board effectiveness, succession planning, executive development, and leadership search and transformation. He is a core member of the Firm’s Global Board & CEO Advisory Group and he leads the firm’s business across Asia Pacific. Previously, Peter led the Global Supply Chain Practice as well as the Global Industrial Services & Infrastructure Sector and remains a mentor for both.

Peter joined Russell Reynolds Associates in 2007 from DHL, where he was the Managing Director of its independent Asia-based business operation, offering fully integrated supply chain solutions to companies worldwide. Peter previously held senior global supply chain management roles based in Europe with DHL and its parent, Deutsche Post World Net. Earlier, he worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers and TNT Limited. Peter began his career as a lawyer, practicing as a corporate commercial lawyer with Phillips Fox Lawyers.

Peter received both a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) and a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B), and was awarded his Masters in Law (LLM) from Queensland University of Technology in Australia.

Paul Ottolini

Chief Financial Officer

Paul is responsible for managing the firm’s global financial operations, connecting strategy with performance and overseeing financial reporting and budget management. Paul serves on the firm's Operating Committee and manages a global team of 50+ finance and accounting professionals.

Prior to joining Russell Reynolds Associates, Paul served as the CFO of IBM's Global Business Services division, overseeing a team of 600+ finance professionals and responsible for the financial and operational performance of the GBS division. Before that Paul spent 23 years at Deloitte in a number of internal finance and operations roles and in client service as part of Deloitte Consulting. In his final role at Deloitte, he served as deputy to the CFO and was accountable for reporting, planning, forecasting and performance analysis for Deloitte’s US operations. At the start of his career, Paul worked for General Motors as both a software engineer and a process reengineering lead.

Paul holds a Bachelor of Science degree, magna cum laude, in Electrical & Computer Engineering from Kettering University. He also holds an M.B.A., highest distinction, from the Harvard Business School, where he was a Baker Scholar.


Eren Rosenfeld

Chief Human Capital Officer
New York

Eren is responsible for all aspects of the development and execution of the firm’s human resources strategy globally.

Prior to Russell Reynolds Associates, Rosenfeld was the Global Head of Talent Development at BlackRock. In this role, she was responsible for the training, leadership development, coaching and assessment of BlackRock’s 14,000 employees across the globe. Most recently, Rosenfeld oversaw the creation of key strategic initiatives to scale and systemize learning and career development, deepen and diversify leadership, enable managers, drive innovation, and improve meetings. Rosenfeld’s previous work includes serving as a leadership development executive at Bank of America Merrill Lynch in New York and Hong Kong for close to 10 years. During her tenure, she specialized in talent planning, performance management, team development, onboarding, organizational design, diversity and inclusion, and learning. Rosenfeld also spent 13 years serving clients in the Human Performance Practice at Accenture. Rosenfeld sits on the Board of Trustees of Children’s Aid and is an inventor on 15 patents in the area of learning and simulations.

Rosenfeld holds a BA in business economics from Brown University.


Amy Scissons

Chief Marketing and Communications Officer

Amy Scissons is the Chief Marketing and Communications Officer of Russell Reynolds Associates. Based in New York, Amy oversees global marketing and communications for the firm, including Marketing, Public Relations, Branding and Internal/External Communications.

Prior to joining Russell Reynolds Associates, Amy most recently served as Chief Marketing Officer for Mercer’s international region, where she led marketing operations in more than 100 cities and 41 countries for the global HR consulting firm. With more than 20 years of experience, her expertise spans several industries and global markets, specializing in integrated marketing strategy, demand generation, customer-centric digital/data-driven marketing and leading high-performance teams.

Amy earned her BA in history and her MBA from McGill University. She also holds a Certificate in International Business from HEC Paris and has spoken as a guest lecturer at ESADE Business School. She speaks fluent English, Spanish and French.
