  Laurent Rossi

Laurent Rossi

Former Chief Executive Officer,
Alpine (F1) and Google Executive

Laurent Rossi serves as a senior advisor to the Renault Group and is the former Chief Executive Officer of Alpine Racing SAS and chairman of Alpine Racing Ltd. Rossi previously served as Renault’s Chief Strategy Officer and was appointed CEO in 2021 with the Alpine name joining the Formula 1 grid ahead of the 2021 FIA Formula 1 World Championship season.

He began his career at Renault in Paris before earning his MBA from Harvard Business School and joining Boston Consulting Group, where he worked in the New York office. As an automotive expert, he was a consultant on several strategic and operational assignments, working with major global automakers and parts suppliers. He covered the entire value chain from design to sales, including powertrain strategy, manufacturing, and supply chain.

In 2012, he moved to Google, taking charge of developing commercial relations with major automotive industry companies, initially based in Paris for the Europe region, then in New York for the Americas region. Rossi eventually served as the head of Google’s Global Auto Practice, before returning to Renault in February 2018. After a short period heading the Organization Department, he was appointed as VP of Corporate Strategy and Business Development.

Rossi holds a Master of Science in Fluid Mechanics from ENSEEIHT (Toulouse) and a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering / Automotive Engines & Petroleum Products from IFP School.

  Philippe Luscan

Philippe Luscan

Former Executive Vice President Strategic Projects,
Sanofi

Philippe Luscan spent more than three decades supporting, building and leading technical operations and manufacturing at Sanofi. He started his career with Sanofi leading one of the chemical facilities in France and throughout his career has headed up key manufacturing plants, global supply chain, and Sanofi’s global industrial sites network.

Phillipe also served as the President of Sanofi France from January 2015 to October 2017, and most recently as the Executive Vice President of Strategic Projects. Philippe was a member of the Executive Committee of Sanofi S.A. from July 2008 to September 2021 as Executive Vice President, Industrial Affairs.

He started his career with Danone in 1987 as Head of Production. In 1990, he joined Sanofi as Head of site at Sanofi Chemistry in Sisteron and was then named Head of Industrial Affairs at Sanofi in the United States followed by an appointment as Vice President Supply Chain, before being named Vice President Chemistry in September 2006.

Philippe graduated from Ecole Polytechnique and from Ecole des Mines de Paris in Biotechnology with degrees in Biotechnology.

  Alison Moore

Alison Moore

Former Chief Technical Officer and EVP, Operations,
Allogene Therapeutics

Alison Moore has extensive experience as a biotechnology and pharmaceutical executive across all aspects of biomanufacturing and CMC product development, working in both operations and research and development. She is the former Chief Technical Officer of Allogene Therapeutics, a pioneering clinical-stage company advancing CAR-T therapies overseeing product sciences, supply chain, manufacturing, quality, and technical operations.

Prior to her role at Allogene, Moore served as Senior Vice President, Process Development, at Amgen. She began her career at Amgen in various positions of increasing responsibility within the Process Development organization. After a short stint in CMC Regulatory Affairs at Genentech, Moore returned to Amgen to lead operations for the Fremont manufacturing facility. She spent 12+ years at Amgen after her return, overseeing Manufacturing, Clinical Operations, Supply Chain, Process & Product Engineering, and Distribution, among other responsibilities.

Moore holds a Ph.D. in Cell Biology and a Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacology with honors from Manchester University in England. Following her doctoral degree work there, she was a postdoctoral research fellow at the Medical University of Lübeck, Germany, and at Genentech.

  Juan Andres

Juan Andres

Former Chief Technical Operations & Quality Officer,
Moderna

Juan Andres is the former Chief Technical Operations & Quality Officer and President, Strategic Partnerships and Enterprise Expansion at Moderna. Juan Andres was responsible for the supply of products required for Moderna’s preclinical and clinical development programs, as well as scaling the CMC (chemistry, manufacturing and controls) processes across Moderna’s portfolio. Mr. Andres also led all CMC late-stage development and commercialization activities. While at Moderna, Juan led the CMC development, launch, manufacturing and supply of the Covid 19 Moderna vaccine worldwide.

Andres was previously the Global Head of Technical Operations (Manufacturing and Supply Chain) for over 25,000 Novartis employees across all divisions. In this role, he had responsibility for all Novartis’ manufacturing sites and related support functions and technologies worldwide, overseeing small molecules as well as biologic.

His previous roles at Novartis included Group Novartis Quality Head, Global Head of Technical Research and Development, and Global Pharmaceutical Operations Head. Prior to Novartis, Andres worked at Eli Lilly & Co. for 18 years in a variety of manufacturing, production and quality roles in the United States, Puerto Rico, UK and Spain.

Juan Andres holds a Master degree in Pharmacy from Alcala de Henares University in Madrid and completed an advanced development program at the London Business School.

  Mike McDermott

Mike McDermott

Chief Global Supply Officer,
Pfizer

Mike has more than 30 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry and has held positions in all aspects of supply operations as well as in Marketing and Finance. As Chief Global Supply Officer, and Executive Vice President, Mike McDermott leads all of Pfizer’s internal and external manufacturing and supply chain activities. Mike and the Pfizer Global Supply (PGS) team work to ensure uninterrupted supply for Pfizer’s entire product portfolio, which includes hundreds of medicines and vaccines – more than 38 billion doses each year. The PGS network includes approximately 30,000 colleagues and contractors and 39 Pfizer global manufacturing sites.

He joined Wyeth in 1989 as a Project Engineer in Pearl River, New York.  Mike returned to Pearl River in 2003 as the site’s Managing Director for Vaccines manufacturing and was elevated to the role of Vice President of Site Operations in 2007. With Pfizer’s acquisition of Wyeth in 2009, Mike became leader of the Consumer Healthcare Operating Unit and then was named Vice President of the Biotechnology Unit in 2012.  In 2014, Mike became Vice President of Global Supply Chain, overseeing internal and external supply as well as distribution.  He was named President of PGS in 2018 and assumed his current role in January 2022.

Mike has Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Industrial Engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) in Newark, New Jersey. He has been an adjunct professor at NJIT and was named a distinguished alumnus.  Mike serves on the Executive Committee of the National Association of Manufacturers and is a member of the Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Forum as well.

  Tony O Driscoll

Tony is a professor, speaker, author, and advisor.  He has spent the bulk of his professional and academic career at the nexus of business, innovation, technology, change and learning, creating and implementing strategies that enable organizations to realize the full potential of their most valuable asset: Human Beings.

Dr. O’Driscoll’s current appointments as Adjunct Professor at Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business and the Pratt School of Engineering afford him the unique opportunity to apply cutting-edge academic research to address increasingly complex business challenges.

During his 18-year corporate career, Tony held several strategic leadership positions. At IBM, he was a founding member of IBM Global Service’s Strategy and Change consulting practice where he consulted at the highest level with business executives on creating competitive advantage in increasingly complex environments. At both IBM and Nortel Networks, Tony had strategic responsibility for crafting and implementing enterprise-level learning, transformation, and human performance improvement strategies.

Tony’s current research and practice examines how rapidly emerging technologies are disrupting existing industry structures and business models. He specifically focuses on how to develop leadership systems that enable organizations to adapt and evolve in increasingly unpredictable and turbulent business environments.

Dr. O’Driscoll holds an Ed.D. in Organization Learning and an M.S. in Management from North Carolina State University.  His B.S. in Electrical Engineering is from Virginia Tech.

With more than 25 years of experience of global executive development, cultural transformation and management consulting, David brings an unmatched depth of insight to his client work. In addition to leading the Firm’s Development Capability, he focuses primarily on designing and delivering coaching and facilitation programs to CEOs and their teams in our largest and most complex clients.

David joined Russell Reynolds Associates from a leading global executive search and talent advisory firm, where he was a Senior Client Partner and was the Leadership Development Managing Partner for the USA. In this role, he specialized in executive development, top team facilitation and coaching, and customized immersive programs.

Previously, David worked in New York and Budapest as a Partner at Pivot Leadership, a boutique leadership development partnership where he was responsible for expanding service offerings into the European market. He was also a Senior Fellow in Human Capital at The Conference Board. He began his career in management consulting at McKinsey and Co. in Hungary.

David holds a BA in international relations from the University of Virginia and an MBA from INSEAD Paris. He speaks English, Hungarian, French and German.

Dr. Thurman E. Webb Jr., Ed.D, is an Executive Coach and Facilitator for the Energy Project. He is also a professor of psychology, a Licensed Therapist, and an Industrial & Organizational Psychologist.

In his independent executive coaching and mental performance consulting practice, Thurman has worked with organizations including Lincoln Financial Group, Northwestern Mutual, and Neiman Marcus, with a focus on organizational climate and effective collaboration. Thurman has worked with entertainers, executives, and professional athletes, providing custom coaching experiences centered on positively impacting their self-efficacy by increasing efficiency, performance, and productivity.

Dean has more than 25 years of executive assessment and development experience, including co-founding the global leadership consulting business at Russell Reynolds Associates.

Prior to joining Russell Reynolds, Dean worked in the Management Development Center at IBM's corporate headquarters. He also authored a book, Senior Executive Assessment: A Key to Responsible Corporate Governance, which shares how to detect strengths and areas of risk among senior leaders. Dean’s ideas were also included in Ram Charan's book, The Attacker's Advantage: Turning Uncertainty into Breakthrough Opportunities.

Dean received his ScB in psychology from Brown University and his MS and PhD in industrial and organizational psychology from Virginia Tech.
