Katie Hooper

Katie Hooper partners with organizations on their most critical leadership decisions, advising clients on executive search, succession planning, and leadership assessment. As a member of Russell Reynolds Associates' Legal, Risk & Compliance Practice, she specializes in helping clients recruit senior executives across legal, risk, ethics, and compliance teams. Katie works with publicly traded, private equity-backed, and nonprofit organizations across a range of industries, bringing a distinctive perspective shaped by both executive search and in-house talent leadership experience.

Before rejoining Russell Reynolds, Katie was a member of the internal executive recruiting team at McKinsey & Company, where she focused on executive hiring, succession planning, and organizational design for the firm's global corporate functions. She also led McKinsey's global hiring response to the firm's 2024 resolutions with the U.S. Department of Justice and the South African government, overseeing the hiring of more than 100 roles across Legal, Risk, Compliance, People, and Supplier Relations.

Katie is known for her thoughtful, consultative approach and her ability to build trusted relationships with clients and candidates alike. She combines rigorous executive assessment with deep market insight to help organizations identify leaders who will drive long-term success. Having served both as an executive search consultant and an in-house executive talent leader, she brings a practical understanding of the leadership challenges organizations face and the qualities that distinguish exceptional executives.

Earlier in her career, Katie spent nearly seven years at Russell Reynolds Associates, where she executed executive searches for Fortune 500, private equity-backed, pre-IPO, and nonprofit clients. She specialized in Chief Legal Officer, Chief Human Resources Officer, and Chief Financial Officer searches, partnering with boards and executive teams to identify transformational leaders.
