EMEA

Allianz

  • Vojtěch Pivný has been appointed CFO of Allianz Asia Pacific, succeeding Aaron Fryer. Vojtěch Pivný previously served as CFO of Allianz Poland and Deputy CFO of Allianz Asia Pacific.

  • Bjoern Jesch has been appointed Chief Product Officer at Allianz Global Investors, joining from DWS where he was Global Chief Investment Officer and CEO of DWS Switzerland.

  • Markus von Freyberg has been appointed CFO of Allianz Private Krankenversicherungs-AG. He was previously Head of Allianz’ Health Transformation, Asia Pacific.

  • Markus von Freyberg succeeds Klaus Berge, who going forward will concentrate fully on his role of CFO of Allianz Versicherungs-AG, a position that he has held ad interim on top of CFO Allianz Private Krankenversicherungs-AG since the start of 2025.

Aon

  • Eric Andersen stepped down as President of Aon to become Senior Adviser to CEO Greg Case.

  • Mike Neller has been appointed Deputy Global Chief People Officer and Head of Total Rewards and Talent Development at Aon. He previously served as Global Controller and Chief Accounting Officer, where he will be succeeded by David DeBrunner.

  • Phil Smaje has been appointed Global Industry Specialty Leader, Transportation & Logistics at Aon, succeeding Lee Meyrick.

Aviva

  • Navinder (Nav) Dhillon has been appointed CEO of Aviva Canada, promoted from CFO, a role he held since joining from RSA Canada and Intact Financial. He succeeds Tracy Garrad.

AXA

  • Henri de la Serve has been appointed CFO of AXA UK & Ireland, joining from AXA Spain where he was CFO. He succeeds Roland Moquet, now CFO of AXA Belgium.

  • Jamie Chambers has been appointed CEO of Greater China at AXA XL, expanding his current role as CEO of Hong Kong. He succeeds Dr. HaoMing Zhou, who is retiring.

Covéa

  • Covéa Insurance has appointed Maud Petit as CEO, previously Deputy Managing Director and CEO of Covéa Coopérations. She succeeds Georges De Macedo, who is stepping down.

Helvetia / Baloise

  • Helvetia has appointed Karina Schreiber as Group CRO; she joins from Allianz SE where she was Group Chief Actuary. She succeeds Bernhard Kaufmann, who is becoming the Group CRO for Swiss Re, as reported in our Q2 newsletter. 

Hiscox

  • Hiscox USA has appointed Adam Denninger as COO, taking over from Leigh Hellrung. He joins from Capgemini, where he was Global Industry Leader for Insurance.

Legal & General

  • Andrew Kail has been appointed Group CFO for Legal & General, he was previously CEO of Legal & General’s largest business, Institutional Retirement. He succeeds Jeff Davies, who joins Resolution Life as CFO.

Lloyd’s

  • Stephane Flaquet has been appointed as COO Lloyd’s. He joins from Hiscox, where he was Group Chief Operations and Technology Officer. He succeeds George Marcotte, who has been Interim COO since September 2024 on a secondment from Accenture.

Munich Re

  • Christoph Jurecka has been appointed as CEO as of January 2026; he is currently Group CFO of Munich Re. He succeeds Joachim Wenning, who has decided to retire.

  • Andrew Buchanan has been appointed the new CFO of Munich Re; he is currently the CFO of the reinsurance field of business.

  • Robin Johnson has been appointed as Chief Technology Officer of Munich Re Group; he was previously the Group Chief Information Officer for the reinsurance field of business as well as Chief Technology Officer of ERGO Group.

MS Amlin

  • Christiern Dart has been appointed CEO of MS Amlin, effective January 2026. He joins from Brit, where he was Group CUO. Dart succeeds Andrew Carrier, who will retire and become Executive Officer at Mitsui Sumitomo.

R+V Versicherung

  • Nils Reich has been appointed Board Member for Composite at R+V Versicherung, joining from AXA where he was Head of AXA Global Health. He succeeds Klaus Endres, who assumes the responsibility of operations and IT and continues to be part of the executive board.

Swiss Re

  • Robin Spencer has been appointed COO for Life & Health Reinsurance at Swiss Re. He previously served as COO of Prudential Asia and CEO of Prudential Thailand. He succeeds Grace Wong who has left Swiss Re.

Willis Towers Watson

  • Bill Creedon has been appointed Chairman of Global Construction at WTW, after leading the business for over five years.

  • Scott Hull has been appointed Global Head of Construction and Surety at WTW, expanding on his role as Global Head of Surety.

AMERICAS

AIG

  • Former Lloyd’s CEO John Neal will join AIG as President in December 2025, reversing his earlier plan to join Aon (as reported in Q2). John Neal will lead AIG’s general insurance business.

  • Claude Wade will step down as Chief Digital Officer and Global Head of Business Operations & Claims at AIG in December 2025, transitioning to an advisory role for health reasons.

  • Scott Hallworth has been appointed Chief Digital Officer at AIG. He joins from Hewlett Packard.

AXIS Capital

  • Matthew Kirk has been appointed CFO of AXIS Capital, effective March 2026. He joins from Enstar Group, where he is currently CFO, and will succeed Peter J. Vogt, who will serve as Strategic Advisor through 2026.

  • David Murie has been appointed Head of AXIS Capacity Solutions, a newly launched business unit at AXIS Capital focused on structured and multi-line portfolio capacity deals. He previously served as Global Head of Underwriting Governance & Execution and Chief of Staff to the Group CUO.

Chubb

  • Steve Haney has been appointed President and CUO of Global Surety. Teresa Black succeeds him as Division President of North America Surety; where she previously served as COO.

Everest Re

  • Everest has appointed Pamela Sinclair as EVP and Chief Human Resources Officer for Everest Group, joining from PGIM where she was Global Head of Human Resources.

  • Everest has promoted Jill Beggs to CEO of Reinsurance; she previously served as EVP and COO of Everest Reinsurance and earlier as Head of Reinsurance, North America.

  • Ricardo Anzaldua, General Counsel of Everest Group, has announced his intention to retire in the coming months. He will remain in the role until a successor is appointed.

  • Everest has appointed Jiten Voralia as Chief Underwriting Officer, Global Reinsurance, succeeding Chris Downey, who was recently promoted to EVP and Group CUO.

Great West Life Co

  • Great-West Lifeco has appointed Lindsey Rix-Broom as CEO, Europe; she previously served as CEO of Canada Life U.K. She succeeds David Harney, who becomes President & CEO of Great-West Lifeco and Canada Life.

  • Canada Life has appointed Emma Watkins as UK CEO; she joins from Scottish Widows, where she was Managing Director, Retirement & Longstanding.

  • Great-West Lifeco has appointed John Melvin as Chief Investment Officer; he previously served as Chief Investment Officer at Sammons Financial Group Companies.

Hanover Insurance Group

  • Toni E. Mitchell has been appointed President of the Technology and Life Sciences business at The Hanover Insurance Group. She previously served as Executive for the Pacific Region.

The Hartford

  • Prateek Chhabra has been promoted to Chief Risk Officer at The Hartford. He succeeds Robert Paiano, who will retire at year-end after 29 years with the company.

Lincoln Financial

  • John Morriss has been appointed as Chief Investment Officer. He joins from Fortitude Re, where he was Head of Public and Private Fixed Income.

  • Jason Crane has been appointed as President of Retirement Plan Services at Lincoln Financial. He joins from Ascensus, where he was Head of Core Retirement, succeeding Ralph Ferraro, who is retiring.

Manulife

  • Manulife has appointed Mike Coyne as General Counsel. He joins from the Bank Policy Institute and succeeds Jim Gallagher, who is retiring.

  • Danny Lee has been appointed Chief Health Officer for Hong Kong and Macau at Manulife, a newly created role. He has been with the company for over 20 years.

  • KC Cheung has been appointed Chief Product Officer for Hong Kong and Macau at Manulife, joining from Hang Seng Insurance where he was CEO, with prior senior roles at HSBC Life.

  • Louisa Li has been appointed Chief Strategy Officer for Hong Kong and Macau and Head of Macau Branch, expanding her role as Head of Strategy and Transformation at Manulife Asia.

Markel

  • Robin Russo, EVP Markel Insurance has announced his retirement.

  • Jim Hinchley has been appointed President, Workers Compensation and Small Commercial Package at Markel Insurance, moving from his prior role as Chief Retail Officer Markel Specialty.

  • Christian Stobbs has been appointed Chief Strategy and Corporate Development Officer, having previously served as Managing Director, Asia Pacific.

MetLife

  • Adrienne O’Neill has been appointed Chief Accounting Officer at MetLife, joining from Manulife where she was CFO for Asia and Group Chief Accounting Officer. She succeeds interim Chief Accounting Officer Toby Srihiran Brown, who continues as Global Head of Reinsurance.

Nationwide

  • Craig Hawley has been appointed President and COO of Nationwide Financial. He previously served as President of Nationwide Annuity. Hawley succeeds John Carter, who is retiring.

  • Vikas Jaswal has been appointed to lead Nationwide’s new Hyderabad technology campus, joining the executive leadership team. He was previously SVP at Northern Trust.

  • Lindsey Murray has joined Nationwide as Head of the newly formed Group Benefits segment following its $1.25 billion acquisition of Allstate’s employer stop loss business. She previously served as COO of Allstate Health.

  • Shaun Peterson has been appointed CFO of Nationwide Group Benefits. He joins from Voya Financial, where he was Vice President of Health and Wealth Solutions Pricing.

  • Kevin Jestice has been appointed Head of Nationwide Retirement Solutions. He previously served as President of Nationwide Investment Management Group. Jestice succeeds Eric Stevenson, who will retire after 20 years with the company.

New York Life

  • Craig Sabal has been appointed Chief Investment Officer of New York Life, effective January 2026. He currently serves as Deputy Chief Investment Officer and succeeds Tony Malloy, who will retire.

Northwestern Mutual

  • Beth Rodenhuis has been appointed COO & Business Architect at Northwestern Mutual. She joins from Capital Group, where she was Head of Global Digital Products and Capabilities.

Pacific Life

  • Christine Bass has been appointed Head of Defined Contribution Lifetime Income at Pacific Life, succeeding Michael Oler, who will retire at year-end. She previously led Pacific Life’s institutional fixed annuity business.

  • Gary Godin and Sean McCartney have been promoted to jointly leading the Workforce Benefits business. Godin previously led workforce benefits operations, claims delivery, and transformation initiatives at the firm. McCartney joined in 2024 from Principal Financial Group, where he held senior distribution leadership roles. Goodin and McCartney succeed Erich Sternberg, who stepped down as head of Workforce Benefits.

Progressive

  • Mari Pumarejo has been appointed Chief Marketing Officer, following the departure of Remi Kent. She was previously Senior HR Business Leader.

  • Joe Park has been appointed Chief Digital & Information Officer. He joins from Yum! Brands, where he was Chief Digital & Technology Officer and President of Byte by Yum!.

Unum Group

  • Andrew Walker has been appointed Chief Customer Operations Officer. He joins from Western Union, where he was COO.

USAA

  • Lindsey O’Neill has been promoted to EVP and Chief Communications and Public Affairs Officer, having previously served as Chief Corporate Affairs Officer. She succeeds Ameesh Vakharia.

  • Rob Arena has been appointed as President of USAA Life Insurance Company, effective as of January 2026. Most recently he served as Co-President at Global Atlantic Financial Group.

  • Four senior executives are departing USAA as part of an organizational restructuring: Brandon Carter (President, USAA Life Insurance Co.), Ameesh Vakharia (Chief Strategy and Brand Officer), Amala Duggirala (Chief Information Officer), and Tom Troy (Chief Transformation Officer).

APAC 

AIA Group

  • Ben Ng has been appointed Group CRO at AIA, effective January 2026, having previously served as CEO of AIA Malaysia, Indonesia and Group Corporate Solutions. He succeeds Jayne Plunkett, who is retiring after serving as Group CRO since 2019.

Dai-chi Life

  • Dai-ichi Life Holdings has appointed Kentaro Ogata as Managing Executive Officer and Business Head, New Fields of Business; he was previously Managing Director and Partner at BCG Japan.

Ping An

  • Ray Wang has been appointed Chief Technology Officer and General Manager of Ping An Technology. He joins from Ant Group, where he was VP and CTO of Ant Fortune and Ant Insurance.

QBE

  • Patricia Priest has been promoted to Chief Underwriting and Transformation Officer for QBE’s Australia and Pacific operations. She previously served as General Manager of Commercial Insurance at QBE.

Sompo

  • Masayuki Kimura joins Sompo Group from Deloitte in the capacity of Group Chief Digital Officer.

  • Alessandrea (Alessa) Quane has been appointed CEO, International Markets at Sompo. She joins from Oscar Health, where she was Chief Insurance Officer.
