Rafael Martinez Gallardo
Rafael Martinez Gallardo is a core member of the firm’s Technology and Consumer Sectors. With a deep background in marketing and data, he provides 360-degree leadership advice to his industry-leading clients. Rafael partners with clients from across Latin America and internationally to recruit top executive-level talent, assess leadership teams and provide thoughtful market insights. He is based in Mexico City.
Rafael joined Russell Reynolds Associates from Metro International, where he was Chief Marketing, Sales & Data Officer. In this role, he oversaw sales operations for the company across 10 Latin American markets and implemented transformative new data practices. Previously, Rafael held Managing Director roles at J. Walter Thompson Worldwide and OgilvyOne Worldwide in Mexico. He also co-founded and ran digital integration for an integrated communications agency. Rafael began his career in content management for a large mass media conglomerate.
Rafael holds a BS in communication studies from Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico and an MA in integrated marketing communications from Northwestern University.
