Sari Hattanda

Sari Hattanda is a member of the Financial Services Practice based in Tokyo, bringing over nine years of executive search experience with a strong focus on asset management and private capital. She specializes in senior leadership mandates across both investment and distribution/fundraising functions, advising on strategic hires for new market entrants and organizations seeking to drive long-term growth.

In addition to her core focus areas, Sari has worked broadly across financial services, including banking and insurance, supporting senior-level and transformational leadership appointments. She is particularly known for helping organizations upgrade international executive talent in Japan, strengthening globally competitive leadership capability in an evolving market.

Sari joins Russell Reynolds from another global executive search firm and prior to that, began her career at Citigroup in Tokyo, where she supported the sales and trading business. Raised and educated partially on the U.S. East Coast, she brings a cross-cultural perspective to her work and is deeply committed to inclusion and the development of international talent.

Outside of work, she is an active equestrian and has competed in show jumping at the national level.
