Nicole Mai works across industries to help companies build effective and sustainable digital leadership teams. Based in Hamburg, Nicole advises publicly-traded, family-owned and private-equity backed companies and their boards, providing critical insights on both pure-plays and traditional business. She excels at recruiting top executive talent and board members in the technology transformation sphere as well as in phases of hypergrowth, working with clients across technology, manufacturing, consumer digital and financial services. Nicole also leverages a strong background in diversity and digital literacy within management teams. Nicole brings a strong background in digital technology to her role at Russell Reynolds Associates. She previously served as head of technology for the digital and media practice group for a family-owned management consulting firm. Previously, Nicole co-founded an online magazine for women in business that was sold to one of Germany’s largest media companies. She began her career in marketing and media sales at Holzbrinck Group (DIE ZEIT and Handelsblatt).

Nicole has an advanced degree in economics from the University of Bonn in Germany. She is fluent in German and English, and is proficient in French.
Nicole is the co-founder of the Working Moms Association, a business network of more than 600 women in Germany in executive roles who stand in for the idea to combine career and family.  Nicole is also the co-founder of an online business magazine for women which was sold to one of Germany’s high quality daily publications.
