Mia (she/her) is a member of the firm's Leadership & Succession Sector, based in Oslo and Helsinki. She specializes in leadership and succession assignments, executive assessments and development globally, with a particular focus in the Nordics. Diversity and inclusion is an inherent part of her work. Mia rejoined Russell Reynolds from a global executive search firm and Omino Business Psychology Advisors, where she used her knowledge in adult development to advise leaders, management teams and boards. Prior to this, she spent four years at RRA based in Oslo. Before this, she spent 10 years in academia researching decision making and embodied cognition. She started her career as a professional dancer in the US, touring internationally.

Mia holds a Master of Education (MEd) in technology in education and a doctor of education (EdD) in human development and psychology from Harvard University. During her doctorate studies she was also a research fellow at the MIT Media Lab. She holds a First Class BA with honors in liberal arts and contemporary dance from London Contemporary Dance School/University of Kent, UK.

Mia has served in the boards of the Finnish School and the Finnish Kindergarten in Moscow, Russia, and chaired the board for the Finnish School in Oslo for ten years. She is an avid follower of contemporary arts, especially the contemporary performing arts, and believes that in our increasingly digital world, the role of the body and live human connection and expression is ever more important.
