Based in Helsinki, Matti advises clients across the Industrial and Technology sectors, among others, working with listed companies, family-owned businesses, and private equity-backed organizations in Finland and internationally.
Matti rejoined Russell Reynolds Associates from a global executive search firm, where he served as Principal and Partner within the global industrial practice, advising clients on international board and C-suite searches. Prior to this, he spent eight years with RRA in Helsinki, as part of the team that originally established the office in Finland, ultimately serving as Consultant within the firm’s Board and CEO Advisory practice.
Matti has overall two decades of executive search experience across Europe and North America. During the time his assignments have ranged from board searches and CEO successions to board effectiveness reviews and functional leadership appointments across finance, technology, and corporate affairs.
Earlier in his career, he worked with another global executive search firm, based out of Helsinki and Calgary. He began his professional career at the Finnish Institute of International Affairs.
