Dean Stamoulis provides guidance to boards about CEO selection and succession. Based in Atlanta, Dean consults with CEOs about how to build excellent leadership teams. He leads the Center for Leadership Insight at Russell Reynolds Associates, which focuses on sharing fresh observations and solutions about C-suite leadership challenges and opportunities. Dean has also made an impact in the sports world, working with the NFL’s Atlanta Falcons on their search for a new general manager. His counsel to NFL teams was featured in the book War Room: The Legacy of Bill Belichick and the Art of Building the Perfect Team. Dean began his career at RRA in 2001 and co-founded the firm’s global Leadership and Succession business. Prior to joining our company, Dean worked in the Management Development Center at IBM. He also authored a book titled Senior Executive Assessment: A Key to Responsible Corporate Governance, which provides recommendations about how to detect strengths and areas of risk among senior leaders. Dean’s ideas were also included in Ram Charan's book, The Attacker's Advantage: Turning Uncertainty into Breakthrough Opportunities.
Dean received his ScB in psychology from Brown University and his MS and PhD in industrial and organizational psychology from Virginia Tech.
