Private Banking Executive Moves

Q1 2026

Cembra

  • Christoph Glaser has been appointed Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and a member of the Executive Board with effect from 1 March 2026. He succeeds Pascal Perritaz, who, after eight years as CFO, has decided to embark on a new chapter in his career.

Bergos Privatbank

  • CEO Peter Raskin is stepping down gradually after more than 16 years. From mid-January 2026, the bank will be managed jointly by the three members of the Executive Board. This body comprises Till C. Budelmann (Chief Investment Officer), Danting Liu (Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer) and Simon Wanzenried (Chief Private Banking).

BlackRock

  • Mirjam Staub-Bisang, the former head of Blackrock, is stepping into the role of Chair of the Board of Directors at the Swiss Federal Development Finance Corporation (SIFEM).

Barclays

  • John Shipman is the new CEO of Barclays Switzerland. He joins from HSBC, where he was the Swiss private banking business's interim CEO and Country Head.

Finma

  • The FINMA Board of Directors has appointed Alain Girard as Head of the Banking Division. He succeeds Thomas Hirschi, who left the authority at the end of August 2025. Simon Brönnimann had been acting in the role on an interim basis.

Hypothekarbank Lenzburg

  • Marco Supplizi joined the bank as Chief Financial Officer, coming from UBS, where he led the Finance Business Partners team in the Swiss personal banking unit. He took over from Stephan Meyer.
  • Fabian Bürki has been appointed as the new head of the Private and Corporate Clients division. In this role, Bürki will succeed Roger Brechbühler, who is set to officially leave the bank at the end of March 2026.

Julius Bär

  • Nic Dreckmann has decided to leave Julius Bär in the summer of 2026. He will step down from his current role as COO before then. Jean Nabaa will become the new Chief Operating Officer (COO) and a member of the Executive Board with effect from 13 April 2026.
  • Vice President Richard Campbell-Breeden will not be running for reelection at the upcoming annual general meeting. Jürg Hunziker, a member of the Board of Directors since April 2023, has been nominated as his successor.
  • Winfried Daun is the new Global Head of Brand & Marketing. He will oversee the bank's public image.
  • Olga Zoutendijk, a member of the Julius Bär Board of Directors, will not be standing for reelection at the Annual General Meeting. Colin Bell has been proposed as her replacement.

Lombard Odier

  • Sabine Heller left the bank. Having headed the Zurich office for the past two years, she left the institute at the end of March.

Maerki Baumann & Co

  • Konstantinos Ntefeloudis has been appointed Chief Investment Officer (CIO) with effect from 1 January 2026. Gérard Piasko, who has held this role since 2018, will remain with the bank as Chief Economist.

Oddo BHF

  • Oddo BHF has created a new senior role and appointed Simone Westerfeld as deputy CEO. Subject to approval by the regulatory authorities in France and Germany, she will join the group on June 1, 2026. She will become a member of the Executive Board of Oddo BHF SE in Frankfurt and the Management Board of Oddo BHF SCA in Paris.

Raiffeisen Schweiz

  • The Board of Directors has nominated Basil Heeb as its new Chairman. At the same time, Yvan Gaillard, Simon Gfeller and Philipp Kronenberg are set to join the board.

Schaffhauser Kantonalbank

  • Andreas Isler is retiring at the end of the year. Nina Tosi will take over as Head of Private Clients from June and will thus become a member of the Executive Board.

SIX

  • Daniel Schmucki, who has served as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and a member of the Group Executive Board for nine years, is stepping down to “pursue new professional challenges outside SIX”. His successor will be Markus Habbel, who will take up his role as CFO on 1 June 2026.

UBS

  • Nasreen Kasenally, Global Chief Operating Officer and Head of UK, is leaving the bank after more than 26 years.

Urner Kantonalbank

  • Urs Eichenberger, a member of the Executive Board and Head of the Corporate Management business unit, will retire on 31 December 2026.

Zürcher Kantonalbank

  • Scott Rüdlinger Zoller has been appointed Head of Products & Services and a member of the Executive Board with effect from 1 January 2027. He will take over from Daniel Previdoli, who will retire by the end of this year.
