Aegon

Arlene Stokes joins Aegon UK as Chief Human Resources Officer, having previously been VP of Human Resources at Weir Minerals.
Alison Morris was appointed to Chief Risk Officer for Aegon UK, having joined the company in 2019 as Chief Internal Auditor. Colin Black succeeds her as acting Chief Internal Auditor.

Allianz SE

Jose Luis Ferre, previously CEO of Allianz Espania, steps down after almost 7 years in role. He is succeeded by Viet Stutz, previously Global Head of Business Transformation.
Jon-Paul Jones is promoted from Asia Pacific’s Chief Operating Officer to the Global Head of Business Transformation. He is succeeded by Kim Leng Teh, previously Chief Transformation and Operations Officer of Prudential Assurance Malaysia branch.

Aon

Leonique van Houwelingen has been named CEO of Aon in the Netherlands, effective 1st of November 2022. She departs BNY Mellon, where she spent 14 years, and served as EMEA Head of Strategic Growth and Regional Client Coverage.
James Platt is appointed to Chief Digital Officer, having previously been Chief Operating Officer. Mindy Simon succeeds him, joining the firm from Conga Brands, where she was Chief Information Officer.
Mitchell Rosenberg, previously Managing Director at Aon Securities, has left the firm to become a Partner at TigerRisk Partners.
Jeremy Goodman transitions from the Singapore office to the UK, being named UK president for the company’s reinsurance solutions business. He will maintain his role as Head of Global Broking. He replaces Nick Frankland, who will focus on his responsibilities as chairman of Aon’s Strategy and Technology Group.
Robert Scherer leaves his role, National Energy Practice Leader, at Aon to join NFP Canada as Senior VP.
Luise O’Gorman joins the company as Head of ESG Transaction Advisory, having previously worked in various consultancies advising on M&A and ESG.
Nick Pritchard joins Aon as Managing Director for property retrocession in Bermuda from Vantage Risk, where he was Head of Property Catastrophe.

Aviva

Asit Rath has been promoted to CEO of Aviva Life in India, joining from Prudential Myanmar Life insurance, as Amit Malik exits the role.
Davie Elliot, previously CEO of Aviva’s life and pensions arm, will take over a new role within the group. He is replaced by Dave Swanton as interim CEO, subject to regulatory approval.
Michelle Golunska re-joins Aviva as MD of Wealth and Advice. She was most recently CEO of Sesame Bankhall Group, however she worked with Aviva from 2015 to 2020.

AXA XL

Bertrand Romagne has been appointed to CEO for International Re. He is promoted from Chief Underwriting Officer/CEO for Europe.
Deuayne Crawford joins Axa as Head of Cyber, previously working for Ironshore Insurance as VP Underwriting Manager.
Michael Perrotti has been promoted to Chief Underwriting Officer for its American marine business. He succeeds Anne Elder, who will focus on Global Chief Underwriting Officer for the worldwide marine business.
Mathew Waters has been appointed to Head of US middle market. He joins the company from Liberty Mutual.
Anique Erkens has been appointed to Head of Distribution, joining from ING where she held the position of Manager, Risk Finance and Manager Credit Management.
Peter Kiernan is promoted to Head of US Property, based in Bermuda. He replaced Simon Penney who is taking up a new role as Global Head of Underwriting Analytics.

Chubb

Natalie Chiaramonte has been named as Division President of Sovereign Risk Insurance. She was previously SVP and Chief Operating Officer of Sovereign.
Willis Gee, previously Executive Vice President, Global Technology Strategy & CIO Global Corporate Services, joins Simpson Thacher & Bartlett as Chief Information Officer.
Andrew Hollenberg retired from his role as President of Accident & Health in Chubb’s Canada Office.
Christopher Eappariello has been promoted to President of Consumer Lines in EMEA.
Sean Corridon has left his role of deputy Chief Investment Officer at Chubb, having spent 20 years with the company, to join Premia as Chief Investment Officer and board member.
Alex Jackson is promoted to Head of Management Liability for Chubb Global Markets, having previously been Senior Underwriter for financial lines within the Global Markets division.
David Kirk, previously Cargo Product Head and Deputy Head of Marine, has been promoted to Head of Marine for Chubb Global Markets. He succeeds Mark Edmondson who, after 8 years in the role, assumes a new position as Consultant Marine Underwriter for CGM.

Helvetia

Jan Kundert has been appointed to Chief Customer Officer, having previously served as Chief Executive of Europäische Reiseversicherung, a subsidiary of Helvetia.
Kaspar Hartmann has been appointed to Chief Sustainability Officer for the group, having worked within the company in various roles for over 15 years.

Hiscox

Nicola Grant joins the company as Chief Human Resources Officer, having most recently worked for ING. She succeeds Amanda Brown, who is moving to Non-Executive roles.
Helen Cooper, most recently Chief Actuary, has moved to Esure as Chief Risk Officer.

Partner Re

Abina Kaley has been appointed Chief Financial Officer, succeeding Nick Burnet, who is leaving the company to pursue other opportunities. She was most recently Chief Accounting Officer for the company.
Shin Yagisawa has been appointed to Chief Representative Officer within the company’s Life and Heath Representative Office in Japan.

Prudential Pcl

Lawrence Lam, most recently CEO of Citi’s Consumer banking business in Hong Kong has been announced CEO of Prudential Hong Kong.
Jennifer Tear is appointed to Group Corporate Affairs Director, joining the company from Janssen Pharmaceutical where she held the role of VP, Communication and Public affairs.
Don Guo is appointed to Group Chief Investment Officer. He joins the company from Catalina Holdings, where he was Chief Investment Officer.

Swiss Re

Group Chief Investment Officer Guido Fürer is set to retire after 25 years with the company, effective March 2023.
The corporate solutions arm of Swiss Re has appointed Andrea Douglass to serve as senior VP for Customer Management. She is succeeding Sarah Kestle who is retiring.
Tony Bishop leaves his role of Head of Data Office, Corporate Solutions, at Swiss Re to join Aspen Insurance as Group Head – Data & Analytics.

Willis Towers Watson

The company has made three senior hires within the National Resource Business. Andrew Brunero, previously at Marsh Energy, joins as Global Head of Downstream Energy Broking. Will Fremlin-Key, joining from Gallagher, is announced as Head of Global Mining and Metals. Ahmed Abdel-Gawad, having joined the firm from Aon in 2021 is appointed as the company’s head of natural resources for the CEEMEA region.
Alice Underwood has stepped down from her role as Global Leader, Insurance Consulting and Technology, to retire.
Luba Nikulina, previously Global Head of Research, has moved to IMF Investors as Chief Strategy Officer.
It has been announced that Luis Maurette, currently CRB Global Head of Sales and Client Management, will be stepping down at the end of 2022 to retire. He will be succeeded by Hector Martinez.
Christian Ryan regions the firm in North America as an Industry Leader, having worked for Marsh for the last 8 years.
Sean Deehan has been appointed to leader for Hong Kong and Macau. He joined the company in January 2021.

Stephen Moss has been appointed to Group Head of Financial Lines, having been at the firm for 5 years and most recently Head of Speciality Lines.
Andreas Schmitt has been appointed to Group Cyber Underwriting Manager, joining from Munich Re where he was most recently Head of Cyber for Asia.
Erwin Rezelman steps down from his role as Head of SAP Strategy and Patent Program to join Fixposition AG as Chief Business Officer.

Americas

Aflac

Virgil Miller has been appointed President, succeeding Teresa White, who is retiring in Jan 2023.

AIG

Charlie Fry returns to AIG as EVP, Vice President, Reinsurance Purchasing and Risk Capital Optimization. Having worked for AIG between 2017 and 2020, he was most recently Chief Executive Officer of Acacia Holdings, a Bermuda-based capital investment company.

Allstate Corporation

Glenn Shapiro, currently President, Property-Liability will be stepping down at the end of September to retire. He will be succeeded by current CFO, Mario Rizzo. Jess Marten will succeed Rizzo in the CFO role.

Axis

Steve Arora has stepped down from his position as CEO of Axis Re to explore new opportunities. He is succeeded by Ann Haugh, who joined the company in 2021 and was most recently President of Global Property.
Kimberly Petrina left her role as Head of North American Casualty Claims at Axis Capital to become a member of Cozen O’Connor.
The firm appoints Dan Draper as Group Chief Underwriting Officer, having previously served as Group Head of Underwriting.

Liberty Mutual

Crystal Ottaviano joins Liberty Mutual as Chief Risk Officer, Global Risk Solutions, leaving Aspen Insurance.
Brandon Fick also joins Liberty Mutual as Chief Underwriting Officer for Global Risk Solutions. He was previously with Zurich, where he served in the same capacity.
Jen Ughetta is promoted to Chief People Officer from her previous role as Chief Talent Officer for Global Retail Markets. This comes as Melanie Foley, previously EVP and Chief Talent and Enterprise Services Officer, is appointed to Chief Administrative Officer.

Lincoln National

Matt Grove, most recently CEO of Resolution Life USA, joins the company as Head of Individual Life & Annuities.
James Reid has been appointed to Head of Workplace Solutions, leading the company’s Group Benefits and Retirement Plan Services business. He joins the company from Versant Health, a subsidiary of Metlife, where he served as CEO.
Andrea Goodrich left her role as Corporate Secretary, to join Jackson National life in the same capacity.

Manulife Financial

Mike Doughty, CEO of the firm’s Canada segment, retired in September 2022. Naveed Irshad has succeed him. Irshad was most recently Global Head of Inforce Management, as well as heading the firm’s North American legacy business. Marc Constantini will succeed Irshad, returning to Manuflife from Munich Re where he managed corporate development, strategy and digital solutions.

Markle Corp

Jed Rhoads, President and Chief Underwriting Officer is set to retire at the end of the year. Don Bahr will be promoted to President, Global Reinsurance while Tod Costikyan will be promoted to Chief Underwriting Officer, Global Reinsurance.
Sarah Maxwell is promoted to Managing Director, Commercial Excess Wholesale, from her previous role of Senior Director Excess Casualty Product Line.
Dan Martin, joining the company from AIG, is appointed to managing director of distribution strategies and business development. He succeeds Pat Murphy-O'Connor who will transition to a consultancy capacity ahead of his retirement at the end of 2022.

MetLife

Adora Whitaker joins Metlife as Head of M&A. She joins the company from PJT partners, where she worked in the Strategic Advisory Group.
Ben Cushman has been appointed to Head of Global Regulatory Policy. He worked within the governments relationship team prior to this appointment.
Meredith Ryan-Reid joins Versant Health as CEO, having most recently worked with Metlife as Head of Financial Wellness & Innovation.

Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Co

Lynn Teo is appointed to Chief Marketing Officer. She joins from Reuters, where she served in the same capacity.

Truist

Via the acquisition of Zaloni Area Platform, Founder and Chief Product Officer Ben Sharma, as well as Chief Technology Officer Ashwin Nayak will join Truist's Enterprise Data Office.
Mike Maguire succeeds CFO Daryl Bible. In his current role, Maguire leads Truist's consumer finance and payments business.
J. Christopher Ward has been hired to lead its Wholesale Payments business. He joins from PNC, where he acted as Head of Data, Digital & Innovation.
Scott Stanzel will join the company as executive vice president and chief communications officer.

USAA

Tamla Oates-Forney has joined the company as chief human resources officer, succeeding Pat Teague. Tamla joins rom Waste Management Inc, where she was Chief People Officer.
Dairus Jones is re-joining the firm to the position of President of Digital, Design and Innovation, having worked for Charles Schwab as MD Digital/Channel.
Lindsey O’Neill is promoted to Chief communications & corporate responsibility officer, having served as Chief Communications Officer.
Ramon Lopez joins Allcat Claims Service as Chief Operating Officer, leaving his role at USAA, where he acted as VP of Auto Claims Operations.
Waqas Durrani has been promoted to senior vice president, Enterprise Shared Services (ESS) Counsel in USAA's Chief Legal Office.

Voya Financial

Heather Lavallee, currently chief executive officer (CEO) of Voya’s Wealth Solutions business, is set to succeed Rodney O. Martin Jr., as the company’s CEO as part of Voya’s planned succession process.
Michael S. Smith, Chief Financial Officer, has decided to depart the company to pursue expanded leadership roles outside of Voya. His successor is yet to be announced.
My Chi To has joined the company as executive vice president and Chief Legal Officer, succeeding Larry Port who is retiring. She was most recently executive deputy superintendent of insurance for the New York State Department of Financial Services.
Tony D. Oh has been appointed to Principal Accounting Officer.

Michael Older is appointed to Head of Defined Contribution Lifetime Income. He most recently served as retirement income product manager at T.Rowe Price.

QBE Insurance Group

Chris Killourhy, previously CFO of QBE international, is appointed to Managing Director QBE Re.
Jason Clarke has been appointed to Australia CEO. He is promoted from his previous position of Chief Customer Officer, Commercial Lines.

Sompo

Navid Zarinejad is appointed to Head of Sustainability, reporting to the CEO. He spent the last eight years with Sompo, most recently as Chief Risk Officer of the retail business.
Ralph Brand is appointed to serve as president for continental Europe. He was most recently global head of casualty, Financial Lines and Cyber at Zurich Insurance.
