Patrick Johnson is a core member of Russell Reynolds Associates’ global Board & CEO Advisory Partners and Nonprofit Practice and leads the firm’s internal leadership development and succession planning efforts. He formerly served on the global Executive Committee for three years and co-led business operations in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, as well as running the London office for six years. He also led the Global Nonprofit Practice previously. Patrick focuses on board roles, including chairs, board members and senior leaders, particularly in the public and healthcare sectors. He is based in London.
Patrick has more than 30 years of executive search experience, both in the UK and internationally, and has advised on a wide variety of executive and non-executive director positions, including in the Civil Service, charities, regulators, academia and the National Health Service and wider healthcare sector. In the private sector, he undertakes chair and non-executive director searches, as well as working with professional services firms. Before joining Russell Reynolds, Patrick worked within PA Consulting Group's human resources practice, after a period in the oil industry. He started his career with Arthur Andersen.
