Norm Yustin advises clients in the firm’s Consumer Sector as a senior leader in the global retail, marketing and digital transformation practices. He also leads the Chief Marketing Officer Practice, bringing his own in-market CMO experience to the executive recruiting industry. Norm is focused on advising and recruiting C-suite leaders in retail, digital transformation, marketing and advertising. He most recently led several high-profile searches for a variety of leadership roles such as CEO, COO, CDO and CMO, for multi-billion dollar companies, private equity portfolio companies and founder-led companies. Other recent assignments have included the COO and VP, GMM for a multi-billion dollar company, the Chief Customer Officer for a high-growth tech retailer, the CMO for a multi-billion dollar women’s fashion company, the CHRO for a private equity-backed flooring retailer, and the Chief Retail Officer for a national home improvement company. Norm is based in Chicago.
Prior to joining Russell Reynolds Associates, Norm was the Chief Marketing Officer at Claire’s Stores and at Macy’s, where he oversaw brand strategy, creative development, public relations, social media, creative strategy and merchandising strategy. He was also a President of Havas Worldwide, a leading global advertising and communications services group. At Havas, Norm led a large team delivering global advertising, marketing, corporate communications, digital, social and media solutions. He began his career in advertising and has worked in in five countries across three continents.
Norm received his degree in Business Administration from the Ivey School of Business at Western University in Ontario, Canada.
