Jacques Bouwens is a core member of the firm’s Board & CEO Advisory Partners, as well as the global Healthcare Practice. Working across industries, he advises boards and CEOs on corporate governance, CEO and board succession planning, board and committee evaluations, digital transformation, diversity, organizational setup and governance benchmarking. Jacques previously led the global Healthcare Practice, served as a member of the Executive Committee and has established and led several of the firm’s offices.
Jacques has lived and worked in the UK, Belgium and the Netherlands and brings a global perspective to business solutions, including advising clients on CEO succession and in-depth executive assessments. Most recently, Jacques has advised a number of large multinationals on the appointment of experienced non-executive directors with specific relevant experience in healthcare. He has also led several key client relationships for the firm and has completed numerous high-profile searches for board, CEO, COO and other leadership roles, as well as complex M&A integrations in both public and private corporations. Additionally, he enjoys partnering with leading private equity and venture capital firms for successful M&A transactions, and he has authored a broad range of articles covering leadership strategies.
Jacques has decades of executive search and consulting experience. Prior to joining Russell Reynolds Associates, he served for five years as Director, Human Resources Europe, for St. Jude Medical, a global medical technology and services company. At St. Jude, he was responsible for the creation of the company's European organization, headquartered in Brussels with subsidiaries throughout Europe, and was involved in acquisitions and the integration processes that followed. Previously, he held a number of human resources positions at GE.

Jacques received his MS in social and organizational psychology from the State University of Utrecht, the Netherlands, and his MS in industrial psychology from the University of Hull.
