Hetty Pye

Hetty Pye is a leader in the firm’s Board and CEO Advisory Partners group and has a particular focus on advising clients in Energy and Infrastructure Services, a global practice she leads for the firm. Based in London, she recruits for CEOs, senior executives and non-executive chairs and directors, working with quoted, private and private equity backed companies. Hetty also chairs the firm’s LEAP Board, advising on promotions and development across the firm.

​Hetty has extensive experience advising clients on CEO and Executive Committee succession planning, as well as on Board composition and development. Notably, she has advised numerous companies on how to match their people with their strategic agenda, particularly in a period of significant transformation (be it driven by growth or challenge), conducting top team benchmarking projects to help clients close the gap between the two. As part of this work, she has helped companies and business leaders re-orientate themselves with an ESG-led agenda.


Prior to joining Russell Reynolds Associates, Hetty worked across the industrial and consumer market sectors. She specialized in FTSE 100 Chair, Non-executive Directors and CEO succession projects with an emphasis on the transfer of talent across sector and function.


Hetty received her MA in modern history from Brasenose College, Oxford University. Hetty is also a Trustee of medical research charity, BORNE, an organization focused on understanding and solving the causes of prematurity.
