Gautham Parthasarathy

Gautham Parthasarathy is a senior member of the firm’s Industrial and Natural Resources Sector. He is an advisor for public and private equity clients, as well as family businesses in the chemicals (including CASE), materials, packaging and automotive industries. With 20 years of leadership experience in P&L, sales, marketing, R&D, M&A and operations, Gautham executes strategic advisory, leadership development and digital transformation initiatives at the confluence of the technology and industrial sectors. He is based in Atlanta.

Previous Experience

Prior to joining Russell Reynolds Associates, Gautham led global product strategy for the $2B Sealings business of publicly listed Cooper Standard Automotive, and led global teams as Vice President and General Manager at family-owned Michelman in Cincinnati, OH, and PE-owned Emerald in Vancouver, WA. Gautham also held Chief Marketing Officer roles for strategy consulting firms and conglomerates in India, where he was a strategic advisor to the C-suite. He began his career at GE before moving into functional leadership roles at Solutia/Monsanto and Celanese. Over the course of his career, Gautham has run a corporate technology incubator, co-founded a start-up, and been involved in PE roll-ups, autonomous vehicle technology, and data analytics and AI for large-scale manufacturing.

Education & Affiliations

Gautham holds a BEng in chemical engineering from the Institute of Chemical Technology (UDCT) in Mumbai, India, a PhD in chemical engineering from Auburn University in Alabama, and an MBA from the Leonard N. Stern School of Business at New York University. He speaks fluent English and Hindi.
