Gautham Parthasarathy is a senior member of the firm's Industrial and Energy and Natural Resources Practices. He advises public, private equity and family business clients in the specialty chemicals (coatings, agricultural, pharmaceuticals, and food ingredients), packaging, animal health, and automotive industries. With 20 years of leadership experience in P&L, sales, marketing, R&D, corporate development, strategy, M&A and operations, Gautham effectively executes strategic C suite and board advisory and leadership development projects for clients and recruits outstanding talent to drive customer activation; diversity, equity and inclusion (DE&I); and digital transformation initiatives at the confluence of the technology and industrial sectors. Recent CXO assignments include CEO, COO, chief commercial officer, chief product officer, senior vice president and head, corporate venture capital. Gautham is based in Atlanta.
Prior to joining Russell Reynolds Associates, Gautham led global product strategy for publicly listed Cooper Standard Automotive's $2B sealings business. Prior to this, he led global teams as vice president and general manager of family-owned Michelman in Cincinnati, OH, and PE-owned Emerald in Vancouver, WA. Gautham was previously chief marketing officer for a strategy consulting firm and conglomerate in India. He began his career at GE, before moving into functional leadership roles at Solutia/Monsanto and Celanese. Over the course of his career, Gautham has also run a corporate technology incubator, co-founded a start-up, and been involved in PE roll-ups, venture capital, autonomous vehicle technology, data analytics and AI for large-scale manufacturing.

Gautham holds a BEng in chemical engineering from the Institute of Chemical Technology (UDCT) in Mumbai, India, a PhD in chemical engineering from Auburn University in Alabama, and an MBA from the Leonard N. Stern School of Business at New York University. He speaks fluent English and Hindi.
