Amy Hayes leads the firm's Leadership & Succession practice in the Americas. She advises boards and CEOs of leading global organizations on the creation and execution of leadership and succession programs to ensure high levels of corporate governance. Amy’s clients include Fortune 100, public and private companies. She leverages her expertise in CEO and C-suite succession planning and talent development to help clients make talent decisions during M&A/private equity due diligence, and advises clients on organizational change, culture and diversity and inclusion. Amy is based in Atlanta.
Prior to joining Russell Reynolds Associates, Amy worked as a consultant focusing on coaching and leadership development, succession planning, selection decisions and strategic change management.
Education & Affiliations
Amy received her BS, Phi Beta Kappa and magna cum laude, in psychology and her MS and PhD in industrial and organizational psychology, all from Virginia Tech. Her research has been cited in books and published in professional journals such as Directors and Boards and the American Psychological Association’s Small Group Research. Amy has presented her research and insights on personality and leadership success at several professional association meetings, including the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology. She is also a Director of the American Red Cross Metro Atlanta Chapter, The Children’s School and the Virginia Tech Foundation Board.
