A particular focus in banking, asset and wealth management and insurance; as well as Chief Financial Officers and other corporate officers.

Based in Mexico City, Sofia brings more than eighteen years of experience across the Finance value chain – including Banks, Asset Managers, Central Banks, Ministries of Finance, Development and Multilateral Banks, Brokers Dealers and Insurance companies.

She has a deep understanding of the financial and regulatory ecosystem and can help leading organizations identify and recruit leaders who drive continued growth and transformation. Sofia joins Russell Reynolds from Credit Agricole CIB, where she was Managing Director for Financial Institutions Client Coverage across Latam ExBrazil. Throughout her tenure, she worked with clients on topics ranging from Debt Capital Markets, including Capital and Sustainable Issuances, Derivatives, Credit and Repo Trading, ALM and Capital Solutions, Trade Finance, Cash Management, and Sustainable Banking, among others.

Sofia began her career at the Central Bank of Mexico in the asset allocation strategy and investment of the international reserves. Following that she joined the Ministry of Finance as an advisor to the Undersecretary and later she worked at Bancomext, the Exim Bank of Mexico, in charge of the Funding Strategy for the Development Bank.
