Grounded in 25 years of leadership, organizational and strategy consulting experience, Marcy partners with clients to successfully activate their strategies through leadership—at the individual, team, and organizational level. Areas of particular focus include helping clients identify and prepare leaders to excel in current and future critical roles, fostering team alignment and effectiveness, and accelerating organization transformation through the creation of operating models that enable strategy execution. She is especially passionate about helping leaders to understand their culture, on its own terms—and to choose purposeful actions that will shape and evolve it.
In addition, she has played a lead role in driving growth and innovation in leadership advisory within Russell Reynolds Associates, including in the development of the firm’s proprietary senior leadership competency model and in the evolution of its organization design and culture advisory approaches. Marcy works with clients across industries, functions, and geographies and has experience across multiple contexts including transactions, private equity, and business model change. Prior to joining RRA, Marcy created and led the Organization Effectiveness function at the University of Chicago, working with senior leaders to solve long-standing issues. She also spent 10 years as a strategy and organization effectiveness consultant at Towers Perrin.
