Based in Tokyo, Hiroyasu (Hiro) has deep expertise in assessment and development, working with clients on executive assessment, executive development, and succession planning. Leveraging extensive hands-on experience and expertise honed within business companies, Hiro strengthens leadership capabilities and drives organizational success.
Prior to joining Russell Reynolds Associates, Hiro spent over 20 years at Mitsubishi Corporation, one of Japan's leading trading firms. During this time, Hiro accumulated extensive experience in sales, supply chain management (SCM), new business development, and corporate planning within the FMCG and retail sectors. He also held senior leadership roles, including a secondment to a Tokyo Stock Exchange Prime-listed food supermarket, where he was responsible for corporate planning and preparing for revisions to the corporate governance code. Additionally, Hiro was seconded to a joint venture with a major beverage manufacturer, focusing on sales planning and SCM.
Hiro has a BA in law from Hokkaido University. He has an MBA from London Business School with a focus on change management.
He is certified in Hogan Assessments, Occupational Personality Questionnaires, and GLLC (Global Learning and Leadership Center).
