Burak Gorbon

Based in Dubai, Burak Gorbon leads the Financial Services, Family Enterprise and Financial Officer practices for Russell Reynolds Associates in the Middle East region. He focuses on aligning senior talent with business strategy and leads executive searches for Sovereign Wealth Funds, Family-Owned Regional Conglomerates, Private Equity Funds, and their portfolio companies, including senior investment professionals, investors relations professionals, CEOs and CFOs, and senior advisors. He is also a member of the Global Banking and Markets Practice and conducts a broad range of senior-level searches across the financial services industry.

Burak has more than 10 years of experience in C-suite and board search, assessment, and talent advisory experience in the Middle East and Turkey, during which time he has recruited for a range of senior executive roles, acting as a trusted advisor to a wide array of businesses across different geographies. Previously, he was a strategy consultant for eight years with Monitor Group across London, Istanbul, and Dubai, where his work focused on financial services, specifically private equity funds. He began his career at his family business, Gorbon Isil Ceramics in Istanbul, Turkey where he was responsible for business development and strategy.
