Ann Hiat

Ann Hiat is an executive search consultant in Russell Reynolds Associates' Legal, Regulatory, and Compliance Officers Practice. She helps organizations identify and develop the senior legal and compliance leaders who guide them through complexity, growth, and transformation.

Before joining Russell Reynolds Associates, Ann practiced law, representing clients and navigating complex regulatory issues. That experience gave her a deep appreciation for the multifaceted nature of in-house legal leadership—part strategist, part advisor, and part moral compass.

Today, Ann's work reflects a deep commitment to succession planning and leadership development, with a particular focus on cultivating the next generation of General Counsel. In addition to advising clients on how to build long-term leadership pipelines, she regularly engages with rising legal and compliance leaders—sharing insights on career growth, leadership readiness, and the evolving expectations of today's top legal roles.

Ann earned her JD from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, where she served on the Cardozo Journal of Law and Gender, and her BA, cum laude, in Sociology and Spanish from Georgetown University.
