Joseph Phi is Group Chief Executive Officer of Li & Fung. He leads Li & Fung’s Supply Chain Solutions, Onshore Wholesale and global freight services businesses to bring a unique, end-to-end, supply chain offering to its brand and retail customers

Joseph has 22 years’ experience at Li & Fung and a strong track record having organically grown its logistics business over the past two decades. Most recently, Joseph was appointed Group President and Executive Director in 2019.

Joseph joined Li & Fung in 1999. He was President and Executive Director of Integrated Distribution Services (IDS) Group Limited from 2004 until its merger with Li & Fung in 2011. He is a director of GS1 Management Board and was Chairman of GS1 Hong Kong between December 2008 and December 2019. He was a former director of Macy’s China Limited from August 2015 to January 2019.

Joseph is an honorary advisor of the Asian Logistics and Maritime Conference and was an advisory member of Hong Kong Trade Development Council’s Logistics Services Committee. He also served as an advisory committee member of Eye Fund, a charitable institution in Hong Kong.

Joseph graduated magna cum laude from the University of The Philippines (UP) with a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering and attained a Master of Business Administration degree with top honours also from the same university.

He is a 2011 recipient of UP College of Business Administration Distinguished Alumnus Award and 2013 recipient of UP Industrial Engineering Alumni Award and UP Alumni Engineers Global Achievement Award for Logistics. Between 2013 and 2018, he was an Adjunct Professor in the School of Business and Management at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.

Rob is Chair, Emerging Markets for the Brunswick Group and heads up the region of India, Middle East and Africa (IMEA).

He was previously Group Chief Operating Officer for the firm.

He is responsible for leading Brunswick’s business development in emerging markets and is the global relationship partner for some of the firm's largest clients, advising Boards and Executive Management teams.

He has 28 years of experience in the communications industry and specializes in advising clients on critical board issues, mergers and acquisitions and crisis situations across multiple sectors and geographies.

Rob began his career in the world of public affairs and political advocacy, working in Westminster and Brussels, running issue campaigns for corporates, NGO's and charities. He is a dual citizen of Canada and the United Kingdom and holds permanent residency for South Africa.

 


 

  Steven Gregg

Steven has over 30 years’ experience in investment banking and management consulting in Europe and Australia. He brings to the Board extensive executive, corporate finance and strategic experience. He is Chairman of Tabcorp Holdings Limited and a director of Challenger Limited, Challenger Life Company Limited, and William Inglis & Son Limited. He is also the Chairman of Unisson Disability Limited and a trustee of the Australian Museum. He has previously served as Chairman of Goodman Fielder Limited and Austock Group Limited.

Steven has extensive Australian and international executive experience, with ABN Amro (as Senior Executive Vice President and Global Head of Investment Banking), Chase Manhattan, Lehman Brothers and AMP Morgan Grenfell. His most recent executive role was as a Partner at McKinsey & Company.

Steven holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of New South Wales.

 


 

  Anil Rai Gupta

Anil Rai Gupta is the Chairman and Managing Director of Havells India Limited, one of the largest makers of industrial and household electrical products in India.

He spearheaded Havell’s transformation into a modern, tech-savvy, nimble and innovative company. Under his stewardship, Havells expanded from industrial switchgear to consumer goods and lately to consumer durables with the acquisition of Lloyds.

Anil graduated in Economics from Sri Ram College of Commerce, Delhi University and then went on to pursue MBA (Marketing and Finance) from Wake Forest University, North Carolina, USA. During his time at Wake Forest, Anil received the academic proficiency award, and the Babcock Award for excellence in academics, integrity, and leadership. He served as vice-president of the graduate Student Government Association at the School.

With the intent of giving back to the society, Anil initiated the Mid-day meal programme where hygienic and nutritious food is served to over 58000 school children every day since 2005. A keen follower of the Indian history, Anil is now working closely with Aga Khan Trust and Archaeological Survey of India to restore some World Heritage sites in the country.

Anil is a firm believer in the transformative power of education, feels that the study of liberal arts is essential in shaping future leaders. He is one of the founding members of India’s first liberal arts institute, Ashoka University.

 


 

  Dr. Tanja Wranik

Tanja is a global leadership professional with over thirty years of experience. After completing her initial training in the USA (Bucknell University, Cornell University) and Germany (Ludwigs-Maximillians Universität, Munich), she started her career in strategic intercultural communication working for multinational organizations in Germany and Belgium. She obtain a doctoral degree in organizational behavior, behavioral finance & economics, and human capital risk management (Université de Genève, Yale University). Since 2006, she advises global corporations, family businesses, and government institutions on issues pertaining to governance, leadership, team dynamics, and strategic organizational development. She sits in several boards and teaches in several universities and business schools. She advises boards and executives team on talents related topics with organizations from over 60 countries, including Asia.

Yen brings years of Asia and technology knowledge, vast experience in corporate governance and gender diversity to board discussions. In over ten years, she has held non-executive independent roles on public and private organisations in Singapore and Europe. She is currently Director OCBC Bank , Jardine Cycle & Carriage Ltd, InCorp Global Pte Ltd, ams-OSRAM AG and Barry Callebaut AG.

Yen Yen Tan is a veteran in the technology and telecommunications sectors. She has over three decades of experience in driving strategy and operational execution in multinational companies. • Vodafone Global Enterprise – President, Asia Pacific • SAS Institute – Regional Vice President and Managing Director of Asia Pacific (South) • Oracle – Senior Vice President of Applications, APAC • Hewlett-Packard – Vice President and Managing Director, Singapore

Yen is currently working part time as Senior Advisor to TA Associates, a Boston Private Equity Firm focus on growth stage companies and Singapore Institute of Management, Singapore’s leading private education and lifelong learning institution.

Yen believes in giving back to the community, hence she volunteers in positions that resonate with her cause in STEM education, technology and sports excellence. As the Chairman of Singapore Science Centre, she has been involved in shaping the Centre for further development and in strengthening the Centre’s relationships with various stakeholders and partners. She is also on her alma mater National University of Singapore’s (School of Computing) Board of Advisors.

 


 

  Michele Kythe Lim

Institute of Corporate Directors Malaysia (ICDM)

Michele works with boards, the director community, regulators, and other key stakeholders in the corporate governance ecosystem to enhance board and director effectiveness in Malaysia. She brings with her a wide spectrum of leadership and advisory experience, particularly on corporate governance-related matters.

Under her leadership, ICDM has embarked on a series of director development programmes, board advisory services, as well as research and advocacy projects to support the building and strengthening of the country’s corporate governance culture.

Prior to ICDM, Michele was Group Head, Corporate Secretarial and General Counsel with IHH Healthcare Berhad. She was also a member of a subsidiary board, as well as the Chief Sustainability Officer leading the sustainability reporting and practices for the Group.

Michele holds a LLB Hons degree from the University of Wales, Aberystwyth, UK (1991) and is a Barrister-at-Law at Middle Temple, London, England. She completed the Senior Management Development Programme of Harvard Business School in 2009 and is also a Licensed Company Secretary.

 


 

  Dato’ Hamidah Naziadin

Dato' Hamidah Naziadin has more than 31 years of extensive strategic human resources (HR) and leadership experience in the financial services sectors across Malaysia and ASEAN. She was formerly the Group Chief People Officer of the CIMB Group, a position she held up to October 2020, and was the CEO of CIMB Foundation from May 2016 to October 2020 and member of the Board of Commissioner, PT Bank CIMB Niaga, Indonesia from 2010 to September 2014.

Dato' Hamidah is currently an Independent Non-Executive Director and Chairperson of the Remuneration Committee and Nomination Committee of Maxis Berhad, and is an Independent Non-Executive Director of Nestle (Malaysia) Berhad, Sime Darby Property Berhad and Mr D.I.Y Group (M) Berhad. She also sits on the Board of Majlis Sukan Negara Malaysia and is a member of Razak School of Government's Leadership Development Committee. Dato' Hamidah is active in mentoring and coaching young talent and women at various formal and informal settings.

She holds a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Wolverhampton and a Certificate in Personnel Management, Malaysian Institute of Personnel Management.

 


 

  Shirish Apte

Appointed to the Board of the Commonwealth Bank of Australia in June 2014, Shirish Apte is currently an Independent, Non-Executive Director of Keppel Corpn., Standard Chartered Plc, and SingLife holdings. He has previously been Independent Non Executive Director of IHH Bhd, Clifford Capital Holdings and Fullerton India Credit Corpn.

Prior to his retirement from Citigroup in 2014 as Chairman of Asia Pacific Banking, Shirish held numerous positions with Citibank/ Citigroup in Singapore (2011-2013), Hong Kong (2009-2011), London (2003-2009), Poland (1997-2003) and London (1993-1997). He also supervised operations in the Emerging Markets covering Central and Eastern Europe, Middle East, Africa (CEEMEA) and Asia Pacific.

Shirish Apte began his career in banking with Citibank India in 1981.

He holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the Calcutta University and Master of Business Administration from London Business School (Major in Finance).

 


 

  Zhiqiang Zhang

Zhiqiang Zhang is a former non-executive director of the Swedish Chamber of Commerce in China (2016-2022). He is also a former non-executive director of Georg Fischer AG (2005-2021) and Datwyler Holding AG (2016-2021), companies listed on the Swiss Stock Exchange. Zhiqiang is currently the Vice-Chairman of the Swiss Chamber of Commerce in China and the Operating Partner of CITIC Capital (a Chinese private equity company with offices in Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong, and the United States of America). He has been an advisor to CLEC Co Ltd since 2022.

He has extensive business and leadership experience at the senior executive level including over 25 years at Siemens and Siemens Nokia Networks with his last role as President & Chief Executive Officer, Greater China Region (2005-2012). More recently, Zhiqiang was President of Asia Pacific Region and a member of the Group Executive Management team of Sandvik AB (2012-2018) and Group Senior Vice President & President of ABB China (2018-2021).

Based in China, Zhiqiang has a background in blue-chip manufacturing and product development, including industrial digitisation, automation and robotics. Having worked in asset-heavy industrials for most of his career, he has deep sector knowledge in automotive, machine tools, steel making, foundry, telecommunications and infrastructure. He also brings to BlueScope a deep understanding of the China and broader Asian markets and insight into areas of innovation and growth.
