Caroline Raggett co-leads the firm's Private Equity practice in Asia Pacific with a specific focus on portfolio company leadership and governance. She is a key member of the region's Board & CEO Advisory Partners and specializes in identifying and recruiting corporate officers across industries. Caroline also partners with investors to assess, appoint and develop the best leadership teams for their portfolio companies. This includes the appointment of independent non-executive directors, CEOs, CFOs and other C-suite executives to achieve the best returns for shareholders. She also works extensively with listed companies and has advised clients at pivotal moments in their evolution, such as IPO and Chairman succession. Caroline’s work spans several sectors, notably education, consumer and hospitality, industrial and logistics and business services.
Caroline has built strong interregional networks in order to deliver the best talent and advice to her clients and works closely with clients around the world to find the best Chinese and Asian talents for their company. Recent projects include: managing succession planning for the chairmanship of a Hang Seng 50 Board; building the board of a Chinese company from scratch prior to its IPO in New York; guiding numerous international companies through the appointment of an Asian board director; improving the diversity quotient of several listed boards in Hong Kong; supporting the IPO of a major real estate company in Hong Kong; leading numerous searches for CEOs, CFOs and other C-suite executives.
Caroline joined Russell Reynolds Associates in 2004, moving up the ranks from Research functions to Consulting. Prior to this, Caroline was a Researcher at an international executive search firm. Caroline began her career as a Consultant at Datamonitor, an international market intelligence and data analysis company.
Education & Affiliations
Caroline earned her MA in Japanese studies from the University of Cambridge. She is a founding signatory of the Hong Kong 30% Club's Voluntary Code of Conduct and a Steering Committee Member of the Hong Kong 30% Club. Caroline is also an active participant in The Women's Foundation.
