Marie-Therese Sonnauer

Marie-Therese is a member of Russell Reynolds Associates’ (RRA) Industrial and Natural Resources Practice, with a particular focus on industrial manufacturing and process industries, including chemicals, materials, and packaging. Based in Munich, she is also active in the firm’s Human Resources Practice and works with public, private, and private equity-backed companies in Germany and internationally.

Marie-Therese advises clients on critical leadership appointments and succession. Her work spans senior functional and business leadership, general management and C-suite appointments, as well as CEO succession and board work. She brings particular experience across manufacturing and technical leadership as well as human resources, working closely with clients navigating growth, transformation, and leadership transitions.

Prior to joining Russell Reynolds, Marie-Therese spent several years consulting pharmaceutical and life sciences clients, leading international market and clinical research projects. Earlier in her career, she gained experience across the private, public, and non-profit sectors, including consulting and advocacy work in West Africa, Costa Rica, and Belgium.
