Jörn advises clients on how to upgrade leadership teams through hiring and development to make change at all levels of an organization.

Jörn Ottendorf mainly advises companies in the industrial and technology sectors, with a keen interest in helping clients with upgrading technology capabilities and driving digitalization initiatives. Based in Frankfurt, Jörn conducts searches for general management, as well senior commercial and technical leadership positions. Particular areas of focus include commercial and specialty vehicles, automotive, capital equipment, software, and technology officers across industries, e.g. CIOs, CTOs, CDOs, and CISOs. He also focuses on leadership advisory work, including assessments, leadership development, and cultural transformation. Jörn worked at a technology-driven business before joining Russell Reynolds Associates in 2004.   At our firm he has completed several prominent assignments, including senior leaders for vehicle OEMs, automotive suppliers, industrial goods and software companies, as well as various digital transformation and technology leadership roles. Jörn advises a broad set of clients, including German medium-sized (family) businesses, private equity portfolio companies, as well as large multi-national corporations.

Jörn studied sociology, economics and business administration at the University of Hamburg and graduated with a Diplom-Soziologe degree. He is fluent in German and English.
