Jack Thompson advises clients across geographies and sectors on hiring and developing progressive human resources officers. He recruits CHROs and their direct reports including leaders of talent acquisition, total rewards, DE&I, and other critical HR leadership functions. Jack has placed executives across Fortune 500, pre-IPO, venture-backed, and private equity-backed organizations.  

Prior to joining Russell Reynolds Associates, Jack worked at Kearney in management consulting. In that role, he led global transformation efforts on topics such as culture evolution, digital strategy, leadership team performance and network effectiveness. He also has deep financial services experience, working as a leader on MetLife’s global digital strategy and transformation team and having served as a trusted advisor for multiple global insurance companies after beginning his career as an employee benefits consultant.

Jack holds a BA in behavior and cognitive sciences from the University of Michigan and an MBA focused on strategic management from the University of Chicago.
