Laura Sanderson is a senior member of the Board and CEO Advisory practice at Russell Reynolds Associates. She specialises in Board and CEO succession, as well as Board and Executive Committee effectiveness, advising on pivotal appointments and on the development of senior leaders’ capabilities. Based in London, she partners with boards to shape the long-term direction of leading organisations.
With more than 20 years’ experience in board advisory work, Laura has led over 500 appointments to the boards of Global Fortune 500, FTSE 350, private, mutual and family-owned companies. Through this work, she has developed deep expertise in advising organisations on the evolving expectations of major shareholders and regulators worldwide.
Laura joined Russell Reynolds Associates when The Zygos Partnership became a part of the firm in 2017. She was an early addition to The Zygos Partnership team soon after the business started and subsequently became a Partner leading client assignments in financial services and other regulated industries. In 2022 she took over responsibility for leading Russell Reynolds' UK business and in 2024 she became Co-Head of Europe, Middle East and India for the firm, serving in that role until 2026.

Laura received her MA in English and her MPhil in medieval and renaissance literature, together with three scholarships, from Trinity College, Cambridge University. She became a Fellow of Winchester College in 2020.
