Gülen Özaktürk

Dr. Gülen Özaktürk is an accomplished insurance and CFO advisor, and a champion for next-generation leaders and women's advancement. Based in Hamburg, she brings nearly two decades of expertise in the financial services and insurance sectors, specializing in organizational development, strategic management, and financial leadership.

Gülen partners with financial services firms to identify, develop, and empower high-performing leaders, helping organizations navigate transformation and drive sustained growth. She is renowned for building robust networks across C-suite executives, emerging talent, and women leaders, and for championing diversity, equity, and inclusion in leadership.

Previously, Gülen served as CFO and board member at wefox, a Swiss insurance technology provider, where she led market expansion initiatives in Switzerland, Poland, and Italy, and launched new insurance products and companies. Before that, she was CFO and board member at VHV Reasürans A.S. in Turkey, where she licensed and established the company in Istanbul, integrating policies, processes, and talent. She began her career as chief of staff at VHV Allgemeine Versicherung AG in Germany.

Gülen holds a master's degree in business administration and a doctorate (Dr. rer. pol.) in economics from the University of Göttingen. She is fluent in English, German, and Turkish, with good proficiency in French.
