Filiep Deforche

Filiep Deforche is a trusted advisor to boards and CEOs with a global scope and a base in EMEA. He works closely with chairs, boards, and executive teams on board and CEO advisory, CEO and board search, senior leadership assessment and succession, and transformation-related leadership challenges. His work is strategy-led, proactive, and long-term oriented, with a particular focus on building sustainable leadership and CEO and executive team succession over time. He brings deep experience in the industrial and natural resources sectors.

Filiep advises clients across all ownership types, including publicly listed companies, private and family-owned businesses, and private equity portfolio companies. His work spans leadership advisory and executive appointments in complex, often cross-border situations.

He is a member of Russell Reynolds Associates’ Global Senior Leadership Team and has regional co-leadership responsibility for EMEAI. He is also a senior member of the firm’s Global Board and CEO Advisory Partners Practice.

Prior to joining Russell Reynolds Associates, Filiep spent 25 years at Boston Consulting Group. During his tenure, he worked mostly in the Metals and Mining, Industrials and Financial Services sectors, and held multiple regional leadership roles. He led the People and Organisation Practice across Western Europe and South America, advising leadership teams on strategy, organization, talent, and large-scale transformation.
