Abigail Skerrett

Abigail’s sector experience spans renewable energy, including wind, solar, biofuels, waste-to-energy, clean technology and recycling, upstream and downstream oil and gas, oilfield services, and EPC. She is passionate about the energy transition and the importance of appointing leaders with experience in low carbon who can complement the skills of an existing management team. Abigail has worked extensively with public companies and private equity funds.

Her public company work across the sector spans Board, CEO and C-suite across the UK and globally. She has worked for integrated energy companies, energy services and equipment businesses, power and utilities and EPC organisations, she brings a significant international talent perspective.

Abigail has also worked for many start-up / early stage / growth energy transition focused businesses, who require a step-change in leadership to accelerate their growth. She is adept in all key functional disciplines across the energy sector and has a track record working for private equity funds investing in the energy sector to find leaders for portfolio companies at the board and executive level. She works cross-border and is a highly collaborative member of RRA’s global Energy Practice.

Prior to joining Russell Reynolds Associates, Abigail spent 14 years at another large search firm in London, where she partnered with clients in the oil and gas, chemicals, oilfield services and equipment, and the engineering and construction and services sectors. Abigail received her BSc in psychology from the University of Leeds and her MSc in occupational psychology from Goldsmiths, University of London. She has Level A and B Psychometric Testing qualifications.
