EMEA

Aegon

  • Aegon nominated Marco Keim, CEO of Aegon’s International business and a member of the Executive Committee, to succeed Aegon CEO Lard Friese as a non-independent member of the Supervisory Board of Dutch insurer a.s.r., in which Aegon holds a strategic stake.

Allianz

  • Klaus-Peter Röhler, member of the Board of Management of Allianz SE, responsible for Insurance German Speaking Countries, Central Europe, and Global P&C, retired from the Allianz SE Board.

  • Renate Wagner, Member of the Board of Management of Allianz SE, assumed responsibility for Germany, Switzerland, and Central Europe while continuing to oversee People & Culture and Mergers & Acquisitions. She transitioned her responsibilities for Asia Pacific to Tomas Kunzmann.

  • Tomas Kunzmann, formerly CEO of Allianz Partners, joined the Board of Management of Allianz SE and assumed responsibility for Asia Pacific, including India.

  • Sirma Boshnakova, Member of the Board of Management of Allianz SE responsible for Insurance Western & Southern Europe, Allianz Direct, and Allianz Partners, assumed responsibility for Global P&C Retail.

Aon

  • Aon’s Board of Directors extended the mandate of President and CEO Greg Case from April 1, 2028, to December 31, 2030.

  • Anne Corona assumed the role of CEO North America, succeeding Lori Goltermann, who became Vice Chair of Aon. Both continued to report to President and CEO Greg Case and served on the Executive Committee.

  • Farheen Dam was appointed CEO of Enterprise Clients and Chief Client Officer, succeeding Anne Corona. She joined the Executive Committee and reported to Greg Case.

  • Aon appointed Joe Peiser, CEO Commercial Risk, as CEO of Risk Capital. He continued to report to Andy Marcell and served on the Executive Committee.

Aviva

  • Aviva appointed Chris Cochrane as Group Chief Information Officer, succeeding John Cummings, who retired. Chris Cochrane joined from M&G, where he served as Group Chief Information Technology Officer.

AXA

  • AXA XL appointed Leyla Delic as Chief Technology and AI Officer. She reported to Scott Gunter, CEO of AXA XL, and Matthieu Caillat, Group Chief Technology and AI Officer and CEO of AXA Group Operations.

  • AXA XL appointed Samantha Hazlewood as Head of AXA Group Partnerships and Strategic Client Management for AXA XL. She reported to Manuel Meier, Chief Client Officer at AXA XL.

Covéa

  • Georges De Macedo was appointed CRO of the Covéa Group and member of the Group Executive Committee, succeeding Lionel Calvez

Generali

  • Paul-Adrien Maizener, previously COO for Generali Global Assistance, succeeded Christopher James Carnicelli as CEO for Generali Global Assistance.

Legal & General

  • Legal & General appointed Scott Wheway as non-executive director and Chair designate, succeeding Sir John Kingman, who stepped down from the board following nine years of service.

  • Non-Executive Director Ric Lewis retired from the board after six years of service.

  • On the executive level, Geoffrey Timms stepped down as Group General Counsel and Company Secretary after 27 years in the role. Maria Alvarez-Scott, previously Deputy Group General Counsel and General Counsel of the insurance business, was appointed as his successor.

  • L&G announced the appointment of Sarah Spooner to the newly created role of Chief Customer Officer.

Lloyd’s

  • Lloyd’s appointed Jim Bichard as CFO, joining from PwC. He succeeded Alexandra Cliff, who left the firm.

Scor

  • Laure Forgeron joined SCOR as P&C Global CUO. She reported to Jean-Paul Conoscente, CEO of SCOR P&C, and joined the Group Executive Committee.

  • Philipp Rüede was appointed Group CFO, succeeding François de Varenne, who ceased his role as Group CFO and Deputy CEO and became Senior Advisor to the CEO.

  • Pilar Santamaria Cases was appointed CEO of SCOR L&H and member of the Group Executive Committee.

Swiss Re

  • Anne Lohbeck was appointed as the new CRO for P&C Re. She reported to Bernhard Kaufmann, Group CRO.

  • Christophe Heck was appointed as Market Head L&H for France, BeNeLux and Switzerland.

Talanx

  • The Supervisory Board of Talanx AG reappointed Torsten Leue as Chairman of the Board of Management of Talanx AG, extending his contract ahead of schedule until June 2030.

Zurich Insurance

  • Paolo Mantero was appointed as the new Group Head of Reinsurance, transitioning from his most recent position as Chief Strategy Officer.

AMERICAS

AIG

  • Chairman & CEO Peter Zaffino retired as CEO and became Executive Chair of AIG.

  • Eric Andersen joined AIG as President and CEO-elect. He joined from Aon, where he was a member of the Executive Committee.

AXIS Capital

  • Ann Haugh, previously CEO of AXIS Re, was appointed Group COO.

  • Matthew Kirk assumed the role of CFO, reporting to President and CEO Vincent Tizzio and joining the Executive Committee. He succeeded Peter Vogt.

  • Dan Draper expanded his responsibilities to include serving as Head of AXIS Re.

  • Lauren Kent was promoted to Head of Global Casualty and Specialty, reporting directly to CUO Dan Draper.

  • Conrad Brooks stepped down from the role of Chief Administrative and Legal Officer at the end of 2026.

Chubb

  • John Keogh became Chairman, North America Insurance, in addition to his responsibilities as President and COO.

  • Scott Henck was appointed Global Chief Actuary, succeeding Paul O'Connell, who retired. He reported directly to Evan G. Greenberg, Chairman and CEO, and Peter Enns, Chubb Group CFO.

  • Cynthia Bentley succeeded Scott Henck as EVP, North America Chief Actuary.

  • Seshadri Iyer was appointed EVP, Operations, Technology and Digital Transformation, succeeding Julie Dillman. He joined from BCG.

Erie Insurance

  • Dorothy Leemhuis was appointed SVP and Chief Actuary, succeeding Rob Zehr.

Everest

  • Christopher Kujawa was appointed CHRO, reporting to Jim Williamson, President and CEO.

  • Katy Bradica was named Group Chief Actuary. She previously served as Group Chief Pricing Actuary and Head of Portfolio Management at AXA XL.

  • Attila Kerényi was appointed Group CRO of Everest, reporting to Jim Williamson. He joined from Swiss Re. 

Farmers Insurance

  • Farmers Insurance appointed John Pham as Chief Strategy & Risk Officer, reporting to CEO Paul Vargas. He joined from GEICO.

Liberty Mutual

  • Phil Hobbs, previously President, Liberty International Insurance, was named President of Underwriting, GRS, reporting to GRS President Matthew Moore.

Marsh

  • Marsh appointed Nick Studer as President and CEO of Marsh Risk, succeeding Martin South, who was appointed Chief Client Officer.

Pacific Life

  • Jason Orlandi stepped down from his role as General Counsel. Mike Anderson was named acting General Counsel.

  • Jia Yi Tan was appointed Global Chief Underwriting and Claims Officer, Pacific Life Re, succeeding Andrew Doran, who was appointed CEO of UnderwriteMe. She joined from Swiss Re.

Progressive

  • John Sauerland retired after 35 years with the company. Andrew Quigg, previously Progressive’s Chief Strategy Officer, succeeded him as CFO.

Reinsurance Group of America (RGA)

  • Peter Babej was appointed to the Board of Directors of RGA.

  • Simon Wainwright was named EVP and joined the Group Executive Committee.

  • Jayson Bronchetti joined as EVP, Investment.

  • Mark Brooks resigned as EVP, Chief Information Officer.

USAA

  • USAA named Dan Griffiths Chief Information Officer. He previously served as Group Chief Information Officer for Santander US and Santander Bank globally.

  • USAA appointed Chris Curtin as Chief Marketing Officer. He joined from Sam’s Club, where he served as Chief Marketing Officer.

APAC 

AIA Group

  • Ben Ng started his role as Group CRO. He previously served as CEO of AIA Malaysia and reported to Lee Yuan Siong, Group Chief Executive and President.

Dai-Ichi Life

  • Hitoshi Yamaguchi was appointed Representative Director, Senior Managing Executive Officer and Group CHRO; previously, he was Business Head, International Life Insurance.

  • Takashi Iida was appointed Managing Executive Officer and Business Head, Asset Management; previously, he was Business Head, Retirement, Savings and Asset Management.

  • Hironori Takahashi was appointed Managing Executive Officer and Business Head, Insurance (Japan), a newly created role.

  • Akifumi Kai was promoted to Managing Executive Officer and Business Head, International Life Insurance.

  • Webster Coates was promoted to Managing Executive Officer and Group Chief Compliance Officer.

  • Kyoko Wada was promoted to Managing Executive Officer and Group Chief Communications Officer.

  • Yukiko Sakai was appointed Executive Officer and Group Chief Sustainability Officer.

  • Hiroyuki Kanou was appointed Senior Managing Executive Officer and concurrently served as President of Daiichi Frontier Life Insurance.

  • Hiroko Ishii was appointed Executive Officer and Group Chief Internal Audit Officer.

  • Kyoichi Haida was appointed Managing Executive Officer and also served as Chief Compliance Officer of Daiichi Frontier Life Insurance.

FWD Group

  • Sandeep Pandey stepped down as the Group Chief Digital & Technology Officer. He was succeeded by Ryan Jong Kim.

  • David Junius joined FWD Group as Managing Director and Group CFO, following an initial period as Deputy Group CFO. He succeeded Sid Sankaran, who relocated to the United States and continued to support the company as an advisor.

  • Alex Wong was appointed Group Chief Actuary, succeeding Michael van Vuuren.

  • Knattapisit Krutkrongchai was appointed CEO for Thailand, succeeding David Korunić, who retired on 30 June 2026 and remained as an advisor.

IAG

  • William McDonnell, CFO of IAG, was appointed Chair of the Australian Sustainable Finance Institute. He succeeded Kristian Fok, CEO of Cbus Super, who had served as Chair since the organisation’s establishment in 2021.

  • Amanda Whiting was appointed to a newly created role as Group Executive, Enterprise Growth and Simplification, joining the Group Leadership Team.

  • Phil Gibson was appointed CEO IAG New Zealand, succeeding Amanda Whiting.

MSIG

  • Herbert Baeten took on the position of CUO MSIG Europe. He succeeded Patrick Smolka, who left the position at the end of 2025.

  • Clemens Philippi, CEO of MSIG Asia and Executive Officer of Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance, was appointed Executive Officer and Chief Strategy Officer for the International Business of MS&AD Insurance Group. He shared the position of Chief Strategy Officer with Keisuke Ema, current general manager of MSI Japan's international business department.

  • Ron Morrison was appointed Chief Claims Officer at MSIG USA, reporting to CEO Peter McKenna. He joined from Great American Insurance Group.

Sompo

  • Haixia Zhao was appointed President of APAC Reinsurance and CUO, Global Specialty. She previously served as CUO, International Reinsurance at Sompo.

  • Christian Silies was appointed President of Europe Reinsurance, after having been promoted from President, Zurich Branch and Head of Global Specialty, Reinsurance.

  • Sarah Stanford was appointed CEO of Sompo UK. She joined from Aspen and succeeded Bob Thaker, who left the company later in 2026.

Tokio Marine

  • Yoichi Moriwaki was appointed Senior Managing Executive Officer and Chief Strategy Officer; previously, he was Head of Solutions Business.

  • Kiyoshi Wada was appointed Senior Managing Executive Officer and Chief Audit Officer; previously, he was Head of Japan-based Business.

  • Hiroshi Sakiyama was appointed Senior Managing Executive Officer and Head of Solutions Business.

  • Yoshinari Endo was appointed Managing Executive Officer and CFO.

  • Taizo Ishiguro was appointed Managing Executive Officer, responsible for Capital Strategy & Investor Relations; previously, he led Global Communications.

  • Tokiko Inoue was appointed Managing Executive Officer and Chief Legal and Compliance Officer.

  • Masaru Kusutani was appointed Managing Executive Officer and Chief AI Officer.
