Industrial Board Moves

Abacus

  • The Board of Directors of Abacus has nominated Andreas Wyss for election at the upcoming General Assembly in November to strengthen its strategic leadership. Wyss, a seasoned financial expert with over 30 years of experience at BDO, has held key leadership roles in Switzerland, Canada, and the USA, fostering close relationships with Abacus clients.

ABB

  • Lars Förberg, a Co-Chief of the activist investor Cevian and a major shareholder in ABB, stepped down from the company's Board of Directors at the General Meeting on March 27, 2025. Claudia Nemat, a seasoned executive from Deutsche Telekom currently responsible for technology, is set to succeed him.

Bank Cler

  • At the General Assembly, Regula Berger was elected as the new Chairwoman of the Board of Directors, succeeding Basil Heeb. Berger, who became CEO of Basler Kantonalbank and head of the group executive board on March 1, 2025, has been a Board Member at Bank Cler since 2019. Özlem Civelek, head of the Service Center at Basler Kantonalbank, joins the Board, bringing expertise in payments, risk, and IT. Susanne Ziegler and Christian Reuss were also elected as independent members, with Ziegler joining the Audit and Risk Committee. The outgoing members, including Basil Heeb, Maya Salzmann, and Christian Wunderlin, were thanked for their contributions.

Basler Kantonalbank

  • Urs Berger and Karoline Sutter Okomba have stepped down from their position as Independent Board Member after more than 10 years in office, effective 31 March 2025.

BKW

  • BKW has announced several changes in its Board of Directors at the next General Meeting, with Linda de Winter appointed as Board Member, effective in 2025. Additionally, Martin Keller will join as Board Member, effective in 2026.

  • Kurt Schär will step down from his position as Independent Board Member, effective in 2026.

Calida

  • Gregor Greber will step down from his position as Independent Board Member at Calida, effective April 8, 2025. On the same date, Andrea Sieber will join the company as a Board Member, marking a transition in the board's composition.

Cembra Money Bank

  • Dr. Monica Mächler will leave the Board of Directors of Cembra Money Bank at the end of her current term due to the statutory ten-year term limit. Wanda Eriksen is proposed as her successor at the 2025 General Meeting this April. Eriksen brings extensive experience in finance, accounting, and risk management, holding significant roles such as the Chair of the Audit Committee for AXA Switzerland and a former Audit Partner at PwC.

Comet

  • Paul Boudre will leave his position as Chairman, effective April 10, 2025. He will be succeeded by Gek (Benjamin) Lim Loh who will start as Chairman on the same day.

Companie Financière Richemont

  • Clayton (Clay) Mark Brendish has stepped down from his role as Lead Independent Non-Executive Director, and Maria Da Conceicao Ramos has stepped down as Independent Non-Executive Director, both effective 31 March, 2025.

Dätwyler

  • Britt Aerbo Hendriksen has been appointed as Board Member, effective March 18, 2025. She brings broad financial and strategic experience, and an extensive knowledge of the global healthcare markets. She is ideally placed to contribute this to the further development of Dätwyler’s growth strategy.

EFG

  • EFG is undergoing significant board changes, with multiple departures and new appointments. Independent Board Members Prasanna Gopalakrishnan, Dr. Pericles Paul Petalas, Stuart M. Robertson, and Yok (Amy) Tak Yip have left their roles at EFG International on March 21, 2025.

  • Yvonne Bettkober has started as Independent Board Member at EFG Bank, effective March 21, 2025. On the same day, Wanda Eriksen and Konstantinos (Kostas) Tsiveriotis joined as Independent Board Members at EFG International and EFG Bank.

  • Additionally, Luisa Deplazes de Andrade Delgado will start as Independent Board Member at EFG International and EFG Bank on September 1, 2025.

Emmi

  • Emmi announced the nomination of Anette Weber for the Board of Directors at the coming Annual General Meeting on April 10. Weber, currently CFO of the Bucherer Group, brings 20 years of finance and management experience from Novartis and a decade of board experience with international companies. The Board believes her financial expertise and international management experience will be a valuable addition to Emmi's Supervisory Board.

  • Emmi announced the passing of Board member Christina Johansson on February 7, 2025, following an illness. Johansson joined the Board in 2018 and served as Chairwoman of the Audit Committee.

Evolva

  • At the Evolva Annual General Meeting, Gianluca Ferrari and Francesco Defila were appointed to the board, with Ferrari becoming the new Chairman. Former Chairman and Vice-Chairman, Stephan Schindler and Dr. Beat In-Albon, did not seek re-election. The new Board Members have halted the previous board's strategy, including the continuation of M&A activities, which was approved with 99% of votes, rendering the proposal to dissolve the company and delist from the Swiss Exchange unnecessary.

EY

  • EY Switzerland has appointed Daniel Gentsch as the new Chairman of the Board to succeed Andreas Blumer in April. Gentsch, a partner since 2009, has extensive experience in international corporate tax law and M&A transactions, and currently serves as EY's Global Deputy Leader for International Tax and Transaction Services.

Feintool international holding

  • Martin Phillip Klöti has been appointed as Vice Chairman in March 2025, succeeding Norbert Indlekofer who will assumed the role of Chairman on April 29, 2025.

Forbo

  • Bernhard Merki is set to replace This Schneider as Chairman of the Board at the upcoming General Assembly on April 4, as Schneider is not standing for re-election.

Galderma

  • Galderma has nominated Roberto de Oliveira Marques for election as Board Member at its upcoming General Meeting on April 23, 2025, the first since its IPO. The meeting will also consider the re-election of the current eight Board Members, with Thomas Ebeling slated for re-election as Chairman.

Galenica

  • Nadine Balkanyi-Nordmann has been nominated for election to the Board of Directors of Galenica Group at the upcoming Annual General Meeting on April 10, 2025. An expert in legal, compliance, and governance, she is expected to bring extensive experience from the healthcare and financial sectors to the board. Balkanyi-Nordmann will not stand for re-election to the Board of Directors of Sanitas in 2025, where she has served since 2013.

Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance

  • Ana de Pro Gonzalo was appointed as a Board Member at Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance, effective January 2025. She brings extensive experience across several industries, including construction, real estate, engineering, and software and IT services. Ms de Pro Gonzalo also has significant board experience, including Non-Executive Director positions at STMicroelectronics and Novartis.

Georg Fischer

  • Monica de Virgiliis will not stand for re-election to the Board of Directors at the General Meeting on April 16, citing personal reasons for her departure. Her position will remain vacant, while the other seven Board Members are proposed for another one-year term.

Givaudan

  • At its March 2025 Annual General Meeting, Givaudan nominated Melanie Maas-Brunner and Louie D'Amico for election, with Maas-Brunner proposed as an Independent Member and D'Amico as Non-Independent Member. Maas-Brunner brings extensive experience from her roles at BASF and as a director at UPM-Kymmene and Azelis Group, and D'Amico who works for Givaudan will transition from his position as President of Taste & Wellbeing to focus on strategic projects.

  • In addition, Olivier Filliol has stepped down from his position in the Board following the Annual General Meeting.

Glencore

  • María Margarita Zuleta was appointed as an Independent Non-Executive Director at Glencore, effective February 19, 2025. Ms Zuleta brings a broad range of experience including in a law firm, business, government and academia. In addition, she has served on the boards of several Colombian companies since 2005 and currently serves on the boards of Corficolombiana, Proindesa, and Aval Valor Compartido.

Helvetia

  • Dr. Andreas von Planta will step down from his position as Independent Board Member as he reached the age limit set by the organization’s regulations, effective April 25, 2025. Dr. von Planta has been a member of the Board of Directors since 2014.

Holcim

  • Holcim's Board of Directors has proposed Kim Fausing as the new Chairman, succeeding Jan Jenisch, pending shareholder approval at the General Meeting on May 14, 2025. Fausing, currently the CEO of Danfoss Group and a Holcim Board Member since 2020, brings extensive leadership experience in energy-efficient building solutions and will lead Holcim following Jenisch's move to the North American spin-off.

Implenia

  • Martin Fischer has stepped down from the Implenia Board of Directors on March 25, 2025.

  • On the same day, Prof. Dr. Marie-Noëlle Zen-Ruffinen has been elected as a new Board Member and Member of the Nomination and Compensation Committee, bringing her extensive legal and board experience from various organizations.

Julius Baer

  • Former HSBC CEO Noel Quinn is set to join Julius Baer Group as its new non-executive chairman on May 1, pending shareholder approval, succeeding Romeo Lacher who is stepping down. Quinn's extensive experience, particularly in expanding HSBC's presence in Asia, is expected to help Julius Baer capitalize on growth opportunities in the fast-growing Asian market.

Landis+Gyr

  • Andreas Umbach will not stand for re-election as Chairman of the Board at the upcoming Annual General Meeting in June 2025. Audrey Zibelman, currently Vice Chair and Independent Board Member, is nominated to succeed him, reflecting the company’s strategic focus on the Americas.

Leclanché

  • Leclanché announced the sudden resignation of Shanu Sherwani from its Board of Directors, effective immediately, as he pursues new opportunities. Sherwani, who joined the board in September 2022, played an active and engaged role in the company's developments. His successor will be appointed at the upcoming General Meeting on June 19, 2025.

Leister Group

  • Christiane Leister, the late owner of the Leister Group, passed away unexpectedly on March 1, 2025, at the age of 69, having established a legacy of innovation and leadership. She leaves behind a robust organization with a strong leadership team poised to continue her legacy, ensuring the company's growth and success, while her estate and company ownership remain privately managed.

Leonteq

  • Lukas Ruflin, the outgoing CEO of Leonteq and co-founder, has withdrawn his candidacy for the Board of Directors, responding to feedback from investors who suggested a cooling-off period before he joins the board.

  • Richard Alan Laxer and Sylvie (Strauss) Davidson have stepped down from their position as Independent Board Members, effective March 27, 2025.

  • Sylvia Steinmann has been appointed as Independent Board Member, also effective March 27, 2025.

MCH Group

  • Dagmar Maria Kamber Borens will resign from the Board of Directors this year, where she served as the delegate of the Canton of Basel-Stadt. She has been a member of the Board of Directors since 2019 and was a member of the Audit Committee. In her work, she has made a significant contribution to the strategic realignment of the MCH Group.

MOBIMO

  • Lukas Brosi has joined Mobimo as a Board Member, effective March 31, 2025, while Brian Fischer has stepped down from his position as Vice Chairman (Independent Board Member) on the same day.

Newron

  • Newron has appointed Chris Martin as the new Independent Chairman of the Board, to be elected at the 2025 Annual General Meeting on April 23. Martin, a former CEO of ADC Therapeutics, will succeed Ulrich Köstlin, who is retiring after 12 years. Martin, already a Board Member, brings extensive expertise in drug development and leadership in biopharma companies.

Novartis

  • Novartis is undergoing significant board changes with the departure of Dr. Joerg Reinhardt, the Chair of the Board of Directors, along with Independent Directors Prof. Dr. Charles L. Sawyers and William (Bill) Thomas Winters, all effective March 7, 2025.

  • On the same date, Dr. Giovanni Caforio has taken over as Chair of the Board, while Dr. Elizabeth (Beth) M. McNally has joined the Board as an Independent Director.

OBT

  • At its Annual General Meeting on March 20, 2025, OBT elected two new members to its Board of Directors: Nathalie Bolliger, Head of HR Business Partner, and Christoph Brunner, a Member of the Executive Board and Partner. This election is a significant step towards a more diverse board, with Bolliger focusing on representing employee interests and providing a voice for the workforce. Brunner, with approximately 25 years at OBT, offers extensive expertise in corporate governance and strategic development across various SMEs.

  • Stefan Traber is stepping down from the Board to concentrate more on client work, and OBT expressed gratitude for his contributions. The Board, with existing members Thomas Züger, Roman Marty, and Chairman Reto Schaffner, is well-positioned to lead the company into the future.

OERLIKON

  • Effective April 1, 2025, OERLIKON is undergoing several changes in its board composition: Irina Arkadevna Matveeva, Gerhard Pegam, and Zhenguo Yao are leaving their roles as Independent Directors, with Pegam also stepping down from his position as Vice Chairman.

  • On the same date, Marco Musetti is joining as Independent Director, Dr. Eveline Steinberger-Kern is starting as Director, and Dr. Stefan Brupbacher is taking over the role of Lead Independent Director, while Paul Roger Adams is stepping down as Lead Director but remains as a Director.

Partners Group

  • Partners Group has nominated Urban Angehrn for election as an Independent Member of its Board of Directors, with the proposal to be presented at the Annual General Meeting on May 21, 2025. Angehrn, with extensive experience in the financial services industry, including roles at FINMA and Zurich Insurance Group, will contribute to strategic Board-level initiatives focusing on insurance-related growth, portfolio and risk management, digitization, and corporate operations.

Polypeptide Group

  • The Polypeptide Group has announced that Dr. Beat In-Albon will leave his role as Independent Board Member at its General Meeting on April 9, 2025.

  • In addition, Joanna (Jo) Susan Le Couilliard has been appointed as Independent Board Member, effective April 9, 2025.

Repower

  • Monika Krüsi, the current Chair since 2018, will not be nominated for re-election at the 2025 Annual General Meeting, as Repower aims to strengthen its local leadership ties.

Santhera Pharmaceuticals

  • Santhera Pharmaceuticals has proposed Melanie Rolli for election to its Board as an Independent Director at the upcoming General Meeting on May 20, 2025. Rolli brings over 20 years of experience with international pharmaceutical companies and currently serves as CEO of Helsinn Healthcare. Otto Schwarz, a current Board Member, will not seek re-election.

SBB

  • Jürg Hurni, a former SBB train conductor and unionist, is set to join the SBB Board of Directors on May 1, 2025. He will replace Fabio Pedrina as the staff representative after Pedrina reached the age limit of 70. Hurni, nominated by the Swiss Transport Workers Union (SEV) and supported by other unions, brings extensive experience in public transport and the Swiss railway system.

Schindler Holding

  • Schindler Holding announces several changes to its Board of Directors, with Luc Bonnard stepping down after over 40 years in the company, and Marion Bonnard and Cyrill Bucher nominated for election, all effective on March 25, 2025.

  • Schindler Holding extended the age limit for Alfred Schindler to allow for his re-election. Josef Min was elected as interim Chairman, succeeding Silvio Napoli. He will serve in a 40% capacity for up to two years.

Sensirion

  • Mirjana Blume has been appointed as Board Member, effective May 12, 2025.

  • Ricarda Demarmels will step down from her role as Lead Independent Board Member on the same day.

SGS

  • Patrick Kron has been appointed as a non-executive Board Member, effective March 26, 2025. This is intended to improve cooperation between the Executive Board and the Board of Directors.

SoftwareOne

  • SoftwareOne has proposed Till Spillmann as the new Independent Chairman of the Board following its merger with Norwegian company Crayon. Spillmann, a lawyer with expertise in law, capital markets, M&A, and investment, has been an Independent Board Member at SoftwareOne for a year. Current Chairman Daniel von Stockar will stand as a regular Board Member. SoftwareOne's shareholders will vote on the merger at an extraordinary general meeting on April 11, where Crayon founders Rune Syversen and Jens Rugseth are also set to join the board.

Sonova

  • Sonova has announced significant changes to its Board of Directors as part of its succession planning, effective June 10, 2025. Laura Stoltenberg is nominated for election as a new Board Member, succeeding Stacy Enxing Seng, while Dr. Lukas Braunschweiler will retire due to the age limit.

  • Additionally, Gilbert Achermann is set to succeed Robert Spoerry as Chair, pending shareholder approval at the 2025 Annual General Meeting, which will reduce the Board's size from 10 to 8 members.

STMicroelectronics

  • Janet Davidson will step down from her role as an Independent Board Member at STMicroelectronics in 2025. Concurrently, Werner Lieberherr will join the board as a new Board Member.

  • STMicroelectronics announced the immediate resignation of Maurizio Tamagnini from its Supervisory Board, where he served since 2014, including roles as Chairman and Vice-Chairman.

Swisscom

  • Laura Cioli has been appointed as Board Member, effective March 26, 2025. She brings experience in the telecommunications sector and has served as a member on various boards of directors.

Swissgrid

  • Regula Wallimann, Vice President of the Swissgrid Board, will not stand for re-election at the General Meeting on May 20, 2025. Wallimann, who joined the Board as an Independent Member in 2017 and became Vice President in 2022, will be stepping down.

SWISSQUOTE

  • Hans-Rudolf Köng has been appointed as Board Member, effective May 8, 2025.

  • Dr. Beat Oberlin will step down from his position as Independent Board Member, also effective May 8, 2025.

Swiss Re

  • Swiss Re has proposed Morten Hübbe and George Quinn for election to its Board of Directors at the upcoming General Meeting on April 11, 2025. Current Board Members Philip Ryan and Sir Paul Tucker will not stand for re-election, marking a transition in the Board's composition.

Switzerland Global Enterprise

  • Switzerland Global Enterprise has nominated Marika Pechr and Annemarie Streuli to join its Board of Directors, aiming to enhance the board's financial and legal expertise. Meanwhile, long-serving Board Member Thomas Staehelin will step down after 13 years, and Chair Ruth Metzler-Arnold will stand for re-election for a term extending to 2027, with the Annual General Meeting scheduled for April 30, 2025.

Syngenta

  • Syngenta has appointed former Rio Tinto executive Alf Barrios to its nine-member Board of Directors as an independent member, effective February 14, 2025. Barrios, with 35 years of experience in commodities and energy, also serves on the Compensation and Audit Committees.

Tecan

  • Dr. Karen Huebscher will not stand for re-election to the Board of Directors at the upcoming Tecan General Meeting on April 10, 2025. The remaining seven Board Members are proposed for another one-year term.

TX Group

  • Martin Kall will retire from the Board of Directors after over 20 years, leaving his role as Vice Chairman. In addition, Prof. Dr. Miriam Meckel was appointed as a non-executive Board Member, both will be effective on April 11, 2025

UBS

  • UBS has announced that Renata Jungo Brüngger and Lila Tretikov will be appointed as non-executive Directors, effective April 10, 2025, at the next General Meeting. Current Independent Directors Claudia Böckstiegel and Nathalie Rachou will not stand for re-election.

Unilabs

  • Gilbert Daniel Achermann has stepped down from his position as Chairman at Unilabs, effective February 2025. Achermann has considerable med-tech, healthcare and industrial experience, both as executive and board engagements including as the CEO and Chairman of the Straumann Group.

Vaudoise

  • Vaudoise Insurance Group has elected Francoise Hélène Béguin to its Board of Directors, effective May 12, 2025. Béguin, who will step down from her leadership role at KPMG in Western Switzerland at the end of April, brings extensive auditing experience and has previously served as Chair of KPMG Holding AG's Board from 2020 to 2024. She is also well-connected in Western Switzerland, holding roles such as a committee member of the Vaud Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

VAT GROUP

  • Michael (Mike) Allison and Clara-Ann Gordon have been appointed as Board Members at VAT GROUP, with Allison's role becoming effective on April 29, 2025.

  • Additionally, Karl Schlegel will leave his position as an Independent Board Member. These changes reflect strategic adjustments in the Board's composition to enhance leadership within the organization.

Vontobel

  • Vontobel has nominated former CEO Zeno Staub for election to its Board of Directors at the upcoming General Meeting on April 2, 2025. Staub, who significantly influenced Vontobel's growth and strategy during his tenure from 2011 to 2023, will replace Bruno Basler, who is stepping down from his role as Vice Chairman after 20 years on the board.

Zurich Insurance Group

  • Former Swiss National Bank President Thomas Jordan has been nominated for election to the Board of Directors at its Annual General Assembly on April 9, 2025. His extensive experience in international financial markets and monetary policy is expected to strengthen the company’s leadership.

Zwahlen et Mayr

  • Zwahlen et Mayr is set to appoint a new board following its acquisition by Group Bader and the Bader Family. Jack Bader has been nominated as President, along with Jessy Bader and Thierry Bader as Board Members, for election at the upcoming General Meeting on April 8, where Laurent Nicod will also stand for re-election.

Adecco Group

  • The Adecco Group has announced the appointment of Jo Debecker as the new President of Akkodis to accelerate strategic delivery, effective April 22, 2025. Debecker brings extensive experience from his previous role as Head of Wipro's FullStride Global Business Line, where he significantly increased profitability. He succeeds Dr. Jan Gupta, who played a pivotal role in the integration of AKKA and Modis.

AEW Energie

  • Christoph Fischer has been appointed as the new Head of the Networks Division and Member of the Executive Board at AEW Energie, effective August 2025, succeeding David Gautschi. Fischer, with extensive experience in the energy sector, was previously Head of Grid Projects at Swissgrid, and his appointment completes AEW Energie's Executive Board.

Arbonia

  • Markus Hütt was appointed as COO, effective February 26, 2025. He formerly served as CEO Central Europe for the American door manufacturer JELD-WEN. He will enhance Claudius Moor's team with his expertise in the door industry and his extensive management and leadership experience.

ASMALLWORLD

  • ASMALLWORLD has appointed Zain Richardson as the new CEO, effective March 2025. Richardson, who has extensive experience in leading luxury brands and travel communities, is expected to usher in a new era of innovation and growth for the company.

BDO Schweiz

  • BDO Schweiz has consolidated its strategic Management Services under the new role of COO, appointing Christoph Scholl to the position effective January 1, 2025. Previously serving as CIO and Head of Strategic Management Services, Scholl will now oversee IT, information and data security, project management, people and culture, marketing and business development, and real estate management, enhancing collaboration across these areas.

Cavotec

  • At the beginning of 2025, Cavotec has appointed Jonathan Eriksson as Senior Vice President and Head of Industry Division, Nicklas Vedin as Senior Vice President and Head of Ports & Maritime Division, and Patrick Mares as Senior Vice President, Product Management and CTO. Additionally, Gabriella Sereni has been appointed as Head of Marketing and Communications, enhancing the company's focus on customer engagement, sales, and operational excellence.

Clariant

  • Richard F. Haldimann has changed role from Chief Technology & Sustainability Officer to Chief Strategy Officer and Chief Technology Officer, effective February 2025. His professional experience in Innovation Excellence, New Business Development, and Sustainability Transformation combines both innovation and sustainability in an ideal way, and align with Clariant’s core focus on sustainability-driven innovation.

Cofra

  • Cofra has appointed Sven Dumoulin as the new Chief Legal Officer, effective June 2025, succeeding Bernard Roelvink who is retiring. Dumoulin brings over 25 years of legal leadership experience across multiple continents, having previously served as Group Secretary at Unilever and General Counsel at Akzo Nobel.

CPH Group

  • Peter Schildknecht has step down as CEO of CPH Group and Perlen Industrieholding after 16 years. Dr. Alois Waldburg-Zeil will succeed Schildknecht, effective April 1, 2025, with the transition expected to be completed by the end of January 2026.

  • Additionally, Florian Geiger became CEO of Perlen Industrieholding, while Jürg Müller will succeed Gerold Brütsch as CFO, effective May 12, 2025. Geiger, who will also lead Perlen Papier, previously served as COO at Swiss Steel Group and CEO of Steeltec.

Dätwyler

  • Michael Höller has started the role of COO and joined the Dätwyler’s Executive Board, effective February 2025. Höller heads the Industrial Solutions business area and brings experience in production networks including production technology, quality and logistics, and in European business strategy.

Debrunner Koenig Group

  • Mitja Schulz has been appointed CEO of Debrunner Koenig Group, a subsidiary of Klöckner & Co, on February 1, 2025, succeeding Thomas Liner.

  • Additionally, Oliver Bertignol will join as CFO on March 1, 2025, succeeding Heinz Rohrer, who will retire on July 31, 2025. Bertignol is an experienced manager with extensive financial expertise, who previously worked at Trumpf Schweiz, among others.

Dormakaba

  • René Peter has been officially appointed as the new CFO of Dormakaba, following the interim period after the passing of the previous CFO Christina Johansson. Peter has been with Dormakaba since 2013 and previously served as the head of global controlling since 2019.

  • Dormakaba appointed Nikola Faulkner as Chief Human Resources Officer, effective March 1, 2025, following her tenure at Adidas as VP of Transformation and Innovation. Faulkner, bringing nearly 20 years of international leadership experience from roles at Swiss Re, Credit Suisse, and Kühne & Nagel, succeeds Mirja Becker.

Elma

  • Elma has appointed Frederic Müller as the new Group CFO, effective from June 2025, succeeding Edwin Wild, who is retiring after 16 years. Franke Home Solutions

  • Gregory Oswald has been appointed as the new Managing Director of Franke subsidiaries WESCO and berbel Ablufttechnik, succeeding Irina Leutwyler and Robert Brandon. Oswald, previously responsible for the DACH region at Franke Home Solutions, will now oversee the brands specializing in extraction hoods and ventilation systems.

Forbo

  • Forbo CEO Jens Fankhänel is temporarily stepping down from his role due to illness, with CFO Andreas Jaeger taking over interim leadership. An update on Fankhänel's situation is expected in mid-April.

Givaudan

  • Antoine Khalil has been appointed as the new Head of the Flavours Division at Givaudan, effective April 1, 2025, succeeding Louie D'Amico, who will transition to the Board of Directors. Khalil has over 21 years of commercial leadership and technical expertise at Givaudan, encompassing both the Taste & Wellbeing and Fragrance & Beauty sectors.

Globus

  • Franco Savastano, the current CEO of Globus, will step down at the end of March after six years with the company. Savastano had to overcome various challenges in recent years, including the restructuring of Globus department stores and refocusing on the luxury segment.

Global Blue

  • Global Blue has announced strategic changes to its Executive Committee following the departure of Greg Gelhaus, with Virginie Alem appointed as COO Japan and Gavin Ingram as COO APAC (excluding Japan), effective March 1, 2025. Additionally, Laurent Delmas will expand his responsibilities to oversee Eastern Europe and the Middle East, as part of Global Blue's efforts to drive growth and adapt to upcoming regulatory changes, ensuring operational excellence across its markets.

Groupe E

  • Lauraine Ebener has been appointed as the new Director of Human Resources and a member of the General Management at Groupe E, effective September 1, 2025. She will succeed Luciano Ponti, who is retiring. Ebener brings over 25 years of experience across various industries, including banking, public transportation, event management, and IT.

Helvetica Property Investors

  • Helvetica Property Investors has appointed Marc Escher as the new CFO and member of the executive management team, effective February 1, 2025, succeeding Peter R. Vogel. Escher, with extensive experience in financial management and strategic leadership, will focus on optimizing financial processes and supporting fund growth aligned with ESG principles.

Holcim

  • Holcim has announced the executive leadership team for its planned spin-off of its North American business, Amrize. The team, led by Jan Jenisch as Chairman and CEO, includes a mix of key leaders from Holcim and new executives from top U.S. companies, all bringing extensive expertise and a strong track record in the North American market. Key appointments include Ian Johnston as CFO, Jaime Hill as President of Building Materials, Jake Gosa as President of Building Envelope, and Nollaig Forrest as Chief Marketing and Corporate Affairs Officer.   • André Rudolf Wyss has stepped down from his position as CEO, effective 31 March, 2025. The Board of Directors has named Jens Vollmar, currently Head of Division Buildings, as CEO effective April 1, 2025. Vollmar, the current Head Division Buildings, has been at Implenia since 2013.

Interroll

  • Interroll has announced the appointment of Markus Asch as the new CEO, effective March 1, 2025, replacing Ingo Steinkrüger. Asch, who has served on Interroll's Board of Directors since 2020, brings extensive expertise in technology, service, and strategic alignment. With this change, Interroll aims to continue its growth trajectory while maintaining its position as a market leader in material handling solutions.

Kongsberg Automotive

  • Linda Nyquist-Evenrud stepped down from her position as President and CEO of Kongsberg Automotive, effective January 29, 2025. Her departure marks a significant leadership change for the company, which may lead to strategic shifts in its future operations and management.

  • Trond Fiskum has been appointed as CEO, effective March 31, 2025. He has a decade of experience from Kongsberg Automotive and brings extensive leadership experience from international companies with a solid track record of delivering strong results.

Landis+Gyr

  • Landis+Gyr has appointed Davinder Athwal as its new CFO, effective April 1, 2025, succeeding Elodie Carr-Cingari. Athwal, who brings over 25 years of global finance leadership experience, previously worked at Phenom People, and his appointment aligns with Landis+Gyr's strategy to focus on growth in the Americas region.

Lem

Mammut

  • Mammut has appointed Jérémie Blondel as the new Chief Commercial Officer, effective June 1, 2025, succeeding Flix Münnich. Blondel brings extensive experience from the outdoor and sports industry, having previously served as Vice President of Sales for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa at The North Face, and held leadership roles at brands like Vans, Reebok, and Nike.

MCH Group

  • The MCH Group announced that CEO Florian Faber is leaving the company at the end of March 2025 by mutual agreement, with Chairman Andrea Zappia stepping in as interim CEO. The Board is committed to a thorough selection process for a new leader to guide the MCH Group's strategic development and global growth.

MEDMIX

  • Jasper den Ouden has been appointed as Chief HR & Sustainability Officer, succeeding Itee Satpathy, effective March 2025. He brings an extensive global HR experience and background in HR transformation, workforce planning, and organisational development.

Neue Zürcher Zeitung (NZZ)

  • Volker Dietzel has been appointed as the new Head of Products & Technology at Neue Zürcher Zeitung (NZZ), effective April 2025. He succeeds Andreas Bossecker, who will leave the company at the end of 2025 to pursue a consulting career. The transition is planned to ensure a smooth handover of responsibilities.

  • Christian Arnold will take over as CFO of NZZ in August 2025, succeeding Jörg Schnyder, who is stepping down after 16 years to take on advisory roles. Arnold, currently Head of Finance and Deputy CFO, has been with NZZ for over 20 years in various financial positions.

Novartis

  • Novartis announced that Klaus Moosmayer, Chief Ethics, Risk & Compliance Officer, will leave the company to pursue new opportunities, stepping down from the Executive Committee.

  • Karen Hale has been appointed to the expanded role of Chief Legal and Compliance Officer, effective April 14, 2025. She will now oversee the Ethics, Risk, and Compliance functions, continuing to report to CEO Vas Narasimhan and serve on the Executive Committee. Hale, who joined Novartis in 2021 with extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry, will focus on aligning the Legal and ERC functions to enhance risk management across the enterprise.

Oerlikon

  • Oerlikon has appointed Dirk Linzmeier as the new COO to lead the Surface Solutions division, succeeding Markus Tacke, who will remain as a strategic advisor until the end of 2025.

Peach Property Group

  • Peach Property Group has appointed Stefanie Koch as the new COO, effective March 15, 2025, bringing her extensive experience in real estate management and digital transformation to enhance operational performance and IT infrastructure. Concurrently, Dr. Holger Franz has been appointed as the General Representative for the German subsidiaries, reinforcing the leadership team with his expertise in real estate transactions and financing.

POLYPEPTIDE

  • Christina Ellen Del Vecchio was appointed as Chief Legal Officer - Corporate Secretary, effective January 2025. This change marks an elevation in her responsibilities within the organization's legal leadership.

Swiss Post

  • Roberto Cirillo, the CEO of Swiss Post, is set to depart in April after a transformative six-year tenure. Under his leadership, Swiss Post has achieved financial stability and initiated significant digital advancements.

Richemont

  • Marie-Aude Stocker has been appointed Chief People Officer and joined the Senior Executive Committee.

  • Emmanuel Perrin will take over as the head of Richemont's watch brand Panerai at the beginning of April, succeeding Jean-Marc Pontroué, who is leaving after over six years leading the Italian watch manufacturer and 25 years at Richemont. Perrin brings 33 years of experience within the Richemont Group, having worked with brands like Cartier and Van Cleef & Arpels, and managed watch brand distribution for the past eight years.

Ringier

  • Ringier has appointed Jens Berndt as the new Head of Group Data, succeeding Merlin Bauer who will leave in April 2025 after six years with the company. Berndt, previously CTO at Ifolor and SMG Swiss Marketplace Group, will focus on aligning technology infrastructures with data ontologies for scalable growth in the AI era.

Roche

  • Roche announced that Wafaa Mamilli has joined the company as Chief Digital Technology Officer and has been appointed as a member of the enlarged Corporate Executive Committee starting February 10, 2025. She takes over the global responsibility for the Informatics function from Alan Hippe, who continues as CFO. Mamilli brings extensive experience from her previous roles at Zoetis and Eli Lilly, and her appointment underscores Roche's commitment to digital transformation and the strategic use of artificial intelligence.

Romande Energie

  • The Board of Directors has appointed François Fellay as its future CEO. He will take up his position by October 1, 2025, succeeding Christian Petit who successfully positioned the Group as a key player in decarbonisation and sustainability efforts in Western Switzerland. Fellay has extensive experience in the energy industry, including expert knowledge of the regulatory landscape. Patrick Bertschy who served as Interim CEO will leave his role at the same date.

Sandoz

  • Francisco Ballester, President of Region International and Member of the Sandoz Executive Committee, retired on March 1, 2025, after 34 years with the company. He will be succeeded by Peter Stenico, currently the Global Platform Head of Biosimilars and Country President of Sandoz Austria, who will also join the Sandoz Executive Committee.

Santhera Pharmaceuticals

  • Santhera Pharmaceuticals has appointed Catherine Isted as CFO, effective February 24, 2025, succeeding Andrew Smith who will step down after five years but remain available for a smooth transition. Isted has over 25 years of leadership experience in life sciences finance, corporate development, and investment banking.

Sauber

  • Alessandro Alunni Bravi is stepping down from his role as Team Representative and Managing Director at Sauber. He joined the team in 2017 and served as its public face since 2023.

SBB

  • Linus Looser has been appointed as the new Head of SBB Infrastructure, effective June 1, 2025. Looser succeeds Peter Kummer and previously served as a member of the Group Executive Board and Head of the Passenger Transport Division since 2021.

Schindler

  • Schindler has appointed Meinolf Pohle to lead its China operations starting in April, succeeding Daryoush Ziai, who is leaving after ten years in the role. Additionally, Patrick Hess, the current head of Schindler Switzerland and with the company since 2001, will join the executive board, taking over responsibility for the Europe-North region.

  • Schindler’s new Executive Committee, will include Paolo Compagna (CEO), Carla De Geyseleer (CFO and deputy CEO), Matteo Attrovio (CIO), Danilo Calabrò (Europe South), Donato Carparelli (CTO), Patrick Hess (Europe North), Vikén Martarian (Americas and Escalators), Hugo Martinho (Human Resources), Meinolf Pohle (China), and Robert Seakins (Asia Pacific).

Selecta

  • Beat Welti has been appointed as the new country head for Selecta in Switzerland. Welti brings extensive experience from the consumer goods industry, having held leadership positions at companies such as Lindt & Sprüngli, Mars, Migros, Unilever, and most recently Bofrost.

Skyguide

  • After eight years as CEO, Alex Bristol will step down from Skyguide on October 31, 2025. His successor, Peter Merz, currently the Commander of the Swiss Air Force, will join the company on October 1, 2025, to ensure a smooth transition before officially assuming the CEO role on November 1, 2025. Merz brings extensive aviation and leadership experience to the position.

SoftwareOne

  • CFO Rodolfo Savitzky will step down in the second quarter of 2025, with his successor already chosen and to be announced in the near future.

SPIE Schweiz

  • SPIE Schweiz has appointed Tamara Obielum to the executive management team. Since July 2023, Obielum has been leading the Marketing and Communication departments and reports directly to CEO Pierre Savoy. Her responsibilities cover the Information & Communication Services, Multi-Technical Services, and Integral Facility Services divisions. Before joining SPIE, Obielum worked as a Digital Marketer at Cisco and other ICT industry companies.

Straumann

  • The Straumann Group has announced significant leadership changes, appointing Isabelle Adelt as CFO, effective July 1, 2025, succeeding Yang Xu, who will leave in May. Adelt, with over 15 years of international leadership experience, is recognized for her strategic financial leadership and expertise in digitalization and sustainable growth. Additionally, Grant Bester will join the executive team in April 2025 as the Executive Commercial Leader for North America, succeeding Aurelio Sahagun at the end of March after ensuring a smooth transition.

Sulzer

  • Sulzer has announced a leadership change with Mathias Prüssing taking over as the head of the Division Flow and joining the executive management team starting in March 2025. He succeeds Jan Lüder, who is moving to a new position in Germany. Prüssing's appointment represents an internal promotion within the company, as he previously led the Building Solution unit at energy company BKW until mid-2023.

Swissgas

  • Swissgas has appointed Zippora Segessenmann as the new CEO, effective October 1, 2025, following Ruedi Rohrbach's retirement after two decades in the role. Segessenmann, currently leading the Energy Division at the Federal Office for National Economic Supply, will begin her transition on July 1, 2025, while Rohrbach will remain as an advisor until his official retirement at the end of the year. Under Rohrbach's leadership, Swissgas shifted its focus away from natural gas procurement since 2019.

Swiss Management Society

  • At their Annual General Meeting, the members of the Swiss Management Society (SMG) have elected Markus Streckeisen, Alice Chalupny, Urs Hofmeier, Manuel Kunzelmann, Thomas P . Meier, and Peter Spirig to the Executive Board, with Streckeisen nominated as the new president. Dorothee Auwärter, Monika Bütler, and Karen Huebscher have stepped down after two terms totaling eight years.

Temenos

  • Temenos has appointed Sairam Rangachari as the Chief Product Officer, effective 28 January 2025. With over 20 years of experience in the technology and banking sectors, including roles at JPMorgan and Capital One, Rangachari will oversee the development and product strategy of Temenos solutions. Reporting to Barb Morgan, the Chief Product/Technology Officer, he will focus on enhancing the functionality and flexibility of the banking platform and driving AI innovations.

Traffigura

  • Trafigura has appointed David Gallagher as the head of Structured Finance. Gallagher joins Trafigura from Signal Capital Partners in London, where he managed a commodities investment portfolio. In his new role, Gallagher will support Trafigura in structuring complex financial transactions and developing strategies related to project and asset financing.

TX Group: Tamedia

  • Tamedia has appointed Jürgen Schlott as its new Digital Chief, effective March 1, succeeding Patrick Rexroth, who will transition to the role of Growth Evangelist. This move is part of Tamedia's ongoing strategy to accelerate digitalization, leveraging the Digital Hub to integrate expertise in user experience, audience growth, data, artificial intelligence, and technology.

  • Victoria Rispy has been appointed as the new Chief Marketing Officer of TX Group's subsidiary, 20 Minuten, effective April 2025, succeeding Annina Flückiger who is leaving after over 19 years. Rispy, who brings extensive marketing experience from her previous roles at Migros, will join the executive team and oversee all marketing activities at 20 Minuten.

Utz Gruppe

  • The Utz Gruppe has appointed Marc Schürmann as the new CEO, effective February 1, 2025, succeeding Axel Ritzberger, who is stepping down after 17 years to pursue new challenges. Under Ritzberger's leadership, the company expanded globally, establishing new facilities in the USA, China, and Mexico. Schürmann brings extensive experience from his previous roles at Komax Group and is well-versed in managing international operations similar to those of Utz Gruppe.

Valora

  • Valora Group has appointed Pierre Lechartier as Group CFO, succeeding Beat Fellmann, and joining the Valora Group Leadership Team on September 1, 2025. Lechartier, who joined Valora in June 2021 and has held various leadership positions, brings extensive experience in accounting and controlling, and will ensure stability and continuity in his new role as Group CFO.
