"The danger of outsourcing inclusion and diversity to human resources"—Anna Penfold interviews Barry Hoffman, group HR director at Computacenter, on the role of human resources (HR) in driving inclusion and diversity (I&D).

What role can HR play in driving diversity and inclusion? Is there a danger that D&I might become too closely aligned with the HR function? What would be your advice to other CHROs?

"With a little bit of thought and commitment, diversity and inclusion can become part of the very fabric of an organization."
An interview with Barry Hoffman, group HR director, Computacenter

Barry is group HR director at Computacenter, responsible for the groupwide HR strategy and in-country HR functions. He is a member of the Executive Committee. He is a passionate advocate of inclusion and diversity in the workplace and has spearheaded a number of innovations and leading initiatives to achieve progress.

In this podcast, Anna Penfold, executive director of HR at Russell Reynolds Associates, will question Barry on the role of the HR function in driving diversity and inclusion. She uncovers his view on how HR can be most impactful, as well as the dangers of the topic falling solely onto the shoulders of the HR function.
