He is a trusted advisor to clients on the convergence of talent and technology across all facets of the enterprise. With a focus on advanced data and analytics, cloud computing, digital transformation and mobile, Joe advises clients on how to recruit and retain outstanding leaders across sectors and geography. He also works with private equity and venture capital firms to recruit senior leaders for their portfolio companies. More recently, Joe has been involved in a variety of efforts to increase analytics and technology representation on corporate boards.

Joe recently recruited the Chief Data & Analytics Officer for a Fortune 50 company, the Chief Data and Analytics Officer for a FTSE 50 Company, the Chief Technology Officer for a Fortune 200 global agrochemical and agricultural biotechnology company, the Americas’ Chief Information Security Officer for a major global bank and the Chief Information Officer for a high-growth private equity back consumer products company.
Prior to joining Russell Reynolds Associates, Joe led product marketing for the VeriFone GlobalBay Mobile Innovation and Payments Group. His responsibilities included product strategy, new product development, international expansion, and go-to-market initiatives. Before VeriFone, he worked at Riverbed Technology, a leader in application performance infrastructure, where he specialized in public and private cloud infrastructure and services, virtualization, and disaster recovery solutions. Joe joined Riverbed from Updata Partners, where he led the firm’s sourcing and diligence efforts in the enterprise technology space. His earlier professional experience included roles where he directed programs for multiple global brands and startups, focusing on competitive analysis, strategy and market expansion.
Joe received his B.A. in international business and politics from the University of California, Berkeley and his M.A. in economics from the University of Cambridge (UK).
