Georgia Rankin leads and coordinates the firm’s Private Equity Practice in Europe. She has over 15 years of experience completing searches for funds and their portfolio companies and specializes in roles such as investment leaders, heads of investor relations, senior fundraising professionals, operating partners and advisors, CEOs of portfolio companies and board members. Georgia works closely with the firm’s dedicated Leadership & Succession team on succession planning, post-merger integration, due diligence and talent development initiatives for management teams at portfolio companies. She has built a number of private debt, direct lending and special situations investment teams in Europe and is an expert at helping companies to diversify into new investment strategies, notably sub-investment grade credit. Georgia’s clients include leading international mid-cap and large-cap buyout firms. She is based in London.

leads several key relationships for the firm and is a trusted adviser to a range of managing partners, investment and distribution leaders, and senior executives across the industry. She has led searches for investment leaders in the UK, Germany and the Nordics, as well as sector leaders. She built the private debt investment team for a leading mid-market European buyout firm, and recruited the head of credit for a $9 billion multi-strategy hedge fund.
Prior to focusing on Private Equity and Alternatives, Georgia was a member of the firm's Global Banking & Markets team, where she led assignments in corporate finance, M&A, leveraged finance, capital markets, structured finance, and securitisation.
Prior to joining the firm in 1999, Georgia worked for an internet-based marketing firm and a market research company.
Georgia holds a B.A. in modern history from Oriel College, Oxford University
