Eric Sigurdson

Eric Sigurdson co-leads the Information Officers practice and has experience recruiting information technology professionals across all industries. With 17 years of search experience with the firm and over 28 years in technology, Eric has recruited IT leaders across all industries and a variety of functions within technology organizations. Within the Information Officers practice, his focus has been on identifying IT leaders who have a strong track record of delivery while possessing a blend of technical and business acumen. Within the technology industry, Eric has significant experience serving relationships in the software and business service segments. Searches for these clients have included CEOs, Presidents, COOs and division General Managers as well as functional executives in sales, marketing, finance, legal and business development. Eric is also a member of the firm's Digital Transformation practice focusing on recruiting technology leaders who have led transformative initiatives in Social, Mobile, Cloud and Big Data. Recent Client Experience

Eric has recently led CIO searches for a $23 billion pharmaceutical company, a $23 billion consumer packaged goods company, a $65 billion agricultural company, a $22 billion printing and outsourcing company and a $35 billion global industrial company. In addition, he has led CIO+ roles including global shared services and transformation for a $120 billion technology company and a $40 billion food service company. He has also led the client relationship for a Fortune 500 business services company going through a major transformation requiring a dramatic change in leadership and organizational structure.

Previous Experience

Prior to joining Russell Reynolds Associates in 1995, Eric spent 11 years with the IBM Corporation, where he held a broad range of positions in marketing, sales and management, with his last four years spent leading a software sales organization in the Midwest. He began his IBM career in technical sales with the National Accounts Division in Chicago.

Education

Eric received his B.S. in computer science and mathematics from the University of Illinois and his M.B.A. from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
