Tuck Rickards is a member of the CEO/Board Services practice and Technology sector. He also co-leads the firm’s global Digital Transformation practice. Tuck advises Fortune 500 organizations on talent and innovation, with a particular emphasis on recruiting high-impact digital leaders with expertise in the areas of Mobile, Social and Analytics. He also works closely with Private Equity and Venture Capital firms to recruit senior leaders to their portfolio companies.
Tuck joined the firm in 1998 to build the firm’s Internet practice and went on to lead the Technology sector in the Americas. He has worked closely with Consumer and Financial Services clients, which have been early adopters of digital technologies. He has more recently been focused on digital transformation assignments in Healthcare and Education. He is the author of numerous thought pieces related to digital, ranging from “WebDNA” to Digital Boards. Tuck splits his time between the Boston and San Francisco offices.
Prior to joining Russell Reynolds Associates, Tuck was Founder and CEO of Virtual Emporium, Inc., a venture-backed e-Commerce company based in Santa Monica, CA and Cambridge, MA. He was previously with Harman International as Product Manager, Multimedia Accessories where he launched their OEM business which provides branded audio systems to leading PC companies. Earlier, Tuck worked as Vice President in the Consumer Group at Montgomery Securities, as a consultant with Corporate Decisions, Inc., and as a financial analyst with Goldman, Sachs & Co.
Tuck is an active alumnus of Harvard Business School and serves on the Alumni Board. He is a member of the Governing Board of Tech Boston Academy, a Boston public school initiative that brings a technology curriculum to inner-city schools, and a Trustee of Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary. He is also a Board Director of the Bay Area Council in San Francisco.
Tuck received his B.A. in economics from Williams College and his M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
