Thomas Spanos

Tom Spanos is a leader in the firm’s Industrial and Private Equity Practices. His clients range from Fortune 500 organizations to portfolio companies of leading private equity firms. Tom specializes in senior integrated supply chain and general management assignments for global consumer products and industrial manufacturing organizations, as well as operating partner and portfolio company CEO assignments for private equity clients. He also works closely with the firm’s Leadership & Succession Practice, taking part in the assessment of senior executives.

Recent work includes a broad range of searches for CEOs of both public and private companies, divisional presidents, board directors and corporate functional leaders within supply chain and operations. Tom recently led the search for the CEO of a $500 million PE-backed industrial equipment manufacturer, the Group President for a $2 billion segment of a large industrial multinational corporation, and the Senior Vice President operations for a $10 billion consumer products business. He is based in New York.

Previous Experience

Prior to joining Russell Reynolds Associates, Tom served as an officer in the United States Army.


Tom received his BA in political science from The Catholic University of America in Washington, DC, and his commission as an officer in the United States Army from Georgetown University.
