Compensation in Finance to Become Increasingly Tiered, Pay Gap to Widen

Maureen Farrell reports on compensation trends within finance for CNN Money, outlining that the pay gap between top and bottom-tier performers is set to increase as money pools shrink. John Rogan from Russell Reynolds Associates suggests that while tiering of pay is not new, it is something that is set to increase in scale going forward:

"Very rigorous tiering of pay has happened in the past, but it's starting to look like it will be more acute going forward," said John Rogan, head of Global Banking and Markets at the recruiting firm Russell Reynolds Associates.
