Nellie Tan is a member of the firm’s Leadership and Succession Sector in Singapore and the Asia/Pacific region. Having worked in a consulting capacity in the public and private sectors, she leverages her experience and insights to share best practices in the areas of talent management, executive hiring, succession planning, and leadership development. More specifically, she helps clients identify, select and grow leaders who will thrive and succeed over the long term, and mitigate the risk of leadership failure. She also assists senior leaders and boards in predicting C-suite success and building effective core leadership teams.
Nellie has 15 years of occupational psychology experience and focuses on leadership assessment as well as talent management and development. Prior to joining the firm, she advised private and public sector organisations on matters relating to assessments, selection and development of top talents, key personnel and senior executives as an independent consultant. Previously, she was a senior consultant with SHL Singapore (now CEB) where she worked with a range of multinational clients across Southeast Asia including the United Nations, Credit Suisse, DHL, BP and BMW Asia. Earlier in her career, she consulted with ministries and departments across the civil service in her role as a psychologist with Civil Service College Singapore, a college for government employees.
Nellie holds a BSc (Honours) degree in psychology from the University of Melbourne.
