Houston Business Journal | January 17, 2017

The Houston Business Journal, “With new office, executive search firm plans Houston growth,” featured the news about Russell Reynolds Associates' expansion in Texas and quoted Area Manager Stephen Newton about the firm's new Houston office. The article is excerpted below.

Following the Jan. 12 announcement it will occupy 15,000-square feet in the downtown trophy tower 609 Main, New York-based Russell Reynolds Associates plans to use the new room to grow in the Houston market.

Recently, Russell Reynolds has seen growth in the nonprofit, health care and leadership succession sectors, and the new hires will help accommodate that while continuing to grow its energy practice, said area manager Steve Newton.

"We're working inside companies to help them find their next leaders," Newton said.

With the new space at 609 Main, Russell Reynolds expects to increase its consultant staff by 30 percent over the next 18 months. Currently, Russell Reynolds has 11 consultants working in the Houston market, Newton said.
