Russell Reynolds, an American multinational specializing in the headhunting of senior executives, has chosen Barcelona to locate a center of global excellence.
The company has already hired twenty professionals of different nationalities and hopes to reach a team of 50 workers next year. Diego Esteban, managing partner of the firm in Barcelona, says that the center, like its counterparts in Dallas (United States) and Gurgaon (India), will be engaged in the first phase of talent screening. "We have extensive databases and high technology to detect potential profiles. This team will manage them, while the senior partners will be dedicated to the second phase of selection." The center will be run by Rafa Díaz Ríos.
The firm has chosen Barcelona (which competed with other cities such as Amsterdam) for its university foundation and its ability to attract young and international talent. "We hire professionals from all over the world because from Barcelona we serve offices throughout Europe and the Middle East. We also need profiles from different disciplines, from psychologists to more technical professions," he adds.
The New York-based multinational works globally for companies in sectors such as banking, insurance, industry, and consumer. Russell Reynolds has more than 50 years of experience in the selection of senior executives.
