Russell Reynolds Associates Hires Cheryl C. Chen

Russell Reynolds Associates, a leading global leadership advisory and search firm, today announced that Cheryl C. Chen has joined the firm as a member of the firm’s Global Consumer Practice. Based in Shanghai, Chen partners with clients to help them build best-in-class talent.
“We are pleased to have Cheryl join our Consumer team specifically focused on our Chinese clients,” said Peter L. O’Brien, leader of Russell Reynolds Associates’ Asia Pacific Region. “Her extensive experience in the FMCG, retail and hospitality spaces will help our consumer clients, develop their talent strategy to navigate through uncertain times to realize their business goals.”
Chen came to Russell Reynolds Associates from another international executive search and leadership advisory firm, where she spent more than two years as a principal in their consumer practice. While there she focused on search assignments in Asia Pacific, covering the FMCG, retail, luxury, e-commerce, hospitality and CFO sectors. Prior to this, she was with a China-based executive search firm for close to seven years, where she was most recently a managing director and team leader within the firm's consumer, retail, luxury, hospitality, travel and real estate practices in China. She began her career in the travel industry and has been working and living in Singapore, Malaysia and Hong Kong for over 10 years.
Chen studied tourism management at Nanjing Normal University in China and earned her MBA from Charles Sturt University of Australia. She speaks fluent Mandarin and English.
