Russell Reynolds Associates Enhances Healthcare Sector with the Addition of Mindy Kairey
January 23, 2014
NEW YORK--Global executive search and assessment firm, Russell Reynolds Associates, today announced the addition of veteran healthcare business consultant Mindy Kairey to the firm's Healthcare Sector in its expanding Chicago office.
"Mindy brings our clients over 20 years of experience as a business strategist and senior advisor in the healthcare sector," said Gabrielle Lajoie, leader of the Russell Reynolds Associates Healthcare Sector in North America. "Healthcare business models are rapidly evolving to meet regulatory reform, digital transformation, and global competition. Mindy offers the kind of strategic thinking and consulting experience needed to meet our clients' needs as they respond to these market changes."
Prior to joining Russell Reynolds Associates, Mindy served as a business advisor at MSK Ventures, where she counseled private equity firms, new business ventures, and traditional corporations. Previously, Mindy spent several years as a partner in the Health and Life Sciences Practice at Oliver Wyman, a management consulting firm. While there, she led a broad portfolio of projects including a national study assessing potential employer strategies in a post-reform healthcare market. She also led the design of a comprehensive diabetes program, integrating services across multiple businesses including retail, pharmaceutical, health and insurance providers. Earlier, Mindy spent 14 years with Hewitt Associates, where her most recent role was the global practice leader, health and welfare outsourcing. During that time, she led a $1.3 billion business providing enrollment and eligibility management services for Fortune 1000 companies. She was also instrumental in migrating Hewitt's customer service and transaction business to the Internet.
Mindy began her career as a National Fellow for Healthcare Leadership, where she spent one year learning from the CEO of the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association and one year in the strategy department of a community hospital. Mindy is passionate about healthcare and serves as a member of the Midwest Board of the U.S. Fund for UNICEF. Mindy received her Bachelor of Science from Pennsylvania State University and her Masters of Science and Public Health from the University of Southern California.
"As we further grow our Chicago business, we have been building out our talent strategically in various sectors including healthcare," said Constantine Alexandrakis, leader of Russell Reynolds Associates' Chicago office. "Mindy is one of the top healthcare industry consultants in the Midwest, and we are very pleased that she will be providing our clients with the highest level of service out of our Chicago office."
