Headhunters expect C-level resumption

Economic improvement expectation to increase C-level hires

Valor | December 23, 2019

The Valor article, "Headhunters expect C-Level resumption," quoted Russell Reynolds Associates Consultants Fernando Machado and Mariane Montana on what they're seeing in the executive search space. A translated excerpt of the article is below.

The last months of 2019 left recruiters optimistic. Faced with improving economic indicators, the demand for senior and C-level executives has grown again, especially to lead growth and digital transformation projects, according to headhunters from four consulting companies interviewed by Valor.

“In financial services, for example, there is an intense search for professionals with solid experience in payment methods and, in capital markets, for executives who specialize in IPOs and subsequent offers,” says Fernando Machado, Consultant at Russell Reynolds Associates.

Companies are also looking for executives with a big-picture vision and who look sustainably at the value chain of the entire business, according to Mariane Montana, Consultant at Russell Reynolds.
