Yuko Yasuda

Yuko Yasuda leads the firm’s Board & CEO Advisory Partners in Japan. She is a member of the firm’s Technology Sector, as well as its Board & CEO Advisory Partners, and was formerly the country manager for Japan. Yuko possesses extensive search, succession management and assessment experience, and focuses on a range of senior assignments, including CEO and other C-level positions. Yuko also conducts board searches and advises Japanese multinationals on board effectiveness. She is based in Tokyo.

Recent technology assignments include CEO and country manager roles for leading multinational businesses, as well as small and mid-sized venture companies. She has a wide range of experience recruiting established executives at public companies in order to help turn around businesses. Outside of the technology industry, Yuko works closely with multinational Japanese companies in various industries to assist their global operations. She has actively searched for board members for leading Japanese companies and provided advisory services in board effectiveness and CEO succession.

Previous Experience

Prior to joining Russell Reynolds Associates more than 25 years ago, Yuko spent several years at Booz Allen Hamilton. Earlier in her career, she worked as a systems engineer at IBM Japan.


Yuko received a BA in international relations from Hitotsubashi University and an MBA from the University of California, Los Angeles. She is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Japan Association of Corporate Executives (Keizai Doyukai) and serves on the boards of several Japanese companies. She is fluent in English and Japanese.
