Stephen Kim is a member of the firm’s Corporate Officers Sector and Financial Officers Practice, based in Palo Alto. Stephen focuses on senior financial officer assignments across the technology, consumer, industrial and healthcare industries, ranging from multinational Fortune 500 organizations to earlier stage, private equity and venture capital-backed companies.

Previous Experience

Prior to joining Russell Reynolds Associates, Stephen led talent acquisition for First Republic Bank’s consumer banking, financial technology and private equity focused business groups across the US. He also worked for Accion International, a nonprofit leader in social impact investing, managing talent acquisition for the organization across Africa, Asia, Latin America and the US. Earlier in his career, Stephen received a US Fulbright Scholarship to South Korea, where he built an English education and career counseling program for North Korean refugees, in conjunction with the US State Department.

Education

Stephen holds a BA in English literature from the University of Michigan and an MA in international relations from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University.
